Hello everyone! Smile First time poster so pls be gentle lol!

I have PCOS and have been TTC for 2 years. I am overweight and have typical PCOS symptoms - I am lucky if I have a period once a year!

I have started Provera 5mg for 5 days (to induce an initial 'period'), 1000mg Metformin, Letrozole 7.5mg (CD 2-6), Vitamin D3 4000iu (very, very low in this - daily high dose until it returns to normal levels), Folic Acid 400mg and a Multivitamin. I have a blood test on day 21 and day 28 of my cycle to test Progesterone levels.

Are there other ladies TTC in a similar position? How are you finding Metformin and Letrozole? Do you have any success stories to share?

Thanks in advance! Grin xxx

Hey @Leah89 how's it going? I'm on metformin and i'm 3 days into my provera prescription. So hoping to start taking letrozole next time. Did you have any side effects? My consultant mentioned OHSS as a slight possibility if you have PCOS and are taking letrozole. Did you have any issues with that?

Hi Leah, i have just come across your post. Did you have any success. I too am overweight and have pcos. I have periods but my consultant has come to the conclusion that i don't ovulate. We tried clomid with regular scans and progesterone tests but this hasnt worked. I am now starting letrozole along side metformin which my NHS consultant suggested may hwlp with the fact i struggle to lose weight. I went private as i was waiting so long with nhs. Im glad i did as ive been told on my bmi they cant help.

Any advice would be appreciated xx
