Even I'm confused!! You had a positive clear as day! When was/is af due?

Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 07:46

Your positive were really good!
The only thing I can think is that it was a chemical. When I had my chemical I had really good lines from 9dpo until af was about 5 days late, then I tested negative and the next day af arrived.
I hope it’s not that for you, but I’m not sure what else would cause you to get good positives and then negatives. Hoping for the best for you but sending hugs x

@Moominmiss
According to my app I'm due today or tomorrow. I have a frer arriving tomorrow. I'm just confused why I would get a positive then negatives x

Hmm, my guess at the moment is a chemical pregnancy. That would explain the positives turning to negatives.
It would mean you implanted, started producing hcg causing you to get positives, but the pregnancy didn’t stick which is why you’re now getting negatives.
They say chemicals are supposedly really common and happen way more than we think, only we now know about them more because of the sensitive tests we’re now able to buy. Whereas years ago we didn’t have the luxury of super early testing so we’d never know if we were pregnant for a short time before af actually turns up.

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 08:23

Yeah I've had plenty of chemicals, but what has confused me is that was a pretty strong positive then a negative really soon after. Normally with a chemical your lines just don't get darker and stay faint until you start to bleed.

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 08:24

Do you feel like you are about to come on? X

Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 08:42

@mrssoapy with my chemical I started with faint line at 9dpo that got darker and darker, as dark as my tests have got with any of my pregnancies, then got fainter and then negative, so I think it would be possible.
I hope for the op it’s not a chemical, but I really can’t think of any other reason for positives turning to negatives. Unless it’s a dud test. The negative one I mean.

GraceG26 · 08/05/2020 08:48

@msglitter437
Where are the tests you're using from? Frers is worth waiting for and if you can, wait for another day and test on Sunday or Monday. I know that's easier said than done!
For now, just remain hopeful and optimistic, if you can 🤞🏼
Sorry I can't be of more help. I know what @Moominmiss is suggesting as I've experienced it myself. You'll soon see whether it is or not!

msglitter437 · 08/05/2020 08:49

@mrssoapy
I've felt queasy since last night, but no symptoms of af x

OP posts:
mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 08:51

@Moominmiss yeah I get that and that's what's happened with mine too... but with a chemical I never had a full on positive then straight away a negative.. it's always got fainter. Everyone's different though. Definitely do the frer and go from there xx

msglitter437 · 08/05/2020 09:03

@GraceG26
They're one step from amazon x
@mrssoapy
@Moominmiss
If it was a chemical I would assume the line would become faint not straight to negative with how dark it was, but I'll do a frer when they arrive tomorrow x

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 09:25

@msglitter437 yeh that's my thoughts. I've got frer coming today aswel, I haven't tested for days so I'm hoping for a very dark line, I should be 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm almost trying to talk myself out of doing one incase it worries me x

GraceG26 · 08/05/2020 09:35

@mrssoapy
If it's arriving today, wait until tomorrow morning to use the frers. You'll get the best reading then, even though it's painful waiting. I hope it's the result you're hoping for!

I don't suppose any of you have had experience of a molar pregnancy? Or know if anyone that has...

Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 09:38

I’m praying it was just a dud test and that you’ll get a nice positive on a frer! It’s true that with my chemical I went from light to dark, to darker, then lighter, and then negative so it is unusual for it to go dark straight to negative.

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 09:42

Yeah I think your right I will try and do that. I am a week late for my period so it should be super dark.
No I haven't had experience with a molar pregnancy, is that where your body thinks your pregnant but your not?

GraceG26 · 08/05/2020 09:47

@mrssoapy Unfortunately it's when all the genetics comes from the male and a viable pregnancy doesn't form but yes, your body continues to think your expecting. It was my third pregnancy/miscarriage and we found out at a private 8 week scan that I had an empty sac. Heartbreaking.

I'm so hopeful for all of you to have BFPs and have healthy, beautiful babies 💕

Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 09:52

@mrssoapy you’re so much more restrained than I am 🙈😂 I’m such a poas addict that I even peed on a stick at 4dpo just for the sake on it, knowing full well it’d be a bfn 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

If you have more than one frer I’d be tempted to do one today after holding for a decent length of time, and then again in the morning. At 5 days late though you would think the time of day wouldn’t matter too much as there should be enough hcg to get a good line regardless. I’ve always found my tests are better and stronger/darker in the afternoon, not using fmu. Good luck!!!

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 09:59

@GraceG26 I'm sorry that happened to you, that really is heartbreaking.
@Moominmiss yes it should be dark. I'll see what time they arrive, there's 2 in a pack! This was my frer I did a week ago today afternoon wee...

Faint line or evap?
mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 10:00

Sorry here's a better one I don't know why that was a bit blurry!

Faint line or evap?
Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 10:04

@mrssoapy that’s not even a faint line! That’s a great bfp! If I was you I’d be feeling pretty positive about doing one later!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 10:25

I think because I did 2 Waitrose essential tests the day after and they were super faint, I just don't know! I've had 2 pregnant 1-2 on digis though 2 days apart.

Moominmiss · 08/05/2020 10:40

@mrssoapy I would honestly ignore the cheapies. They’re known for not usually having much dye in them. I’d much rather trust a frer.

I’m sure if you waited another week you’d also get a 2-3 on a clear blue digi.

I would totally take your frer positive as my bfp!!!

Congrats!!

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 10:50

Thanks @Moominmiss. I'm going to do the frer when it comes and if it's a good line I won't be testing anymore! I'll let you know the result!

mrssoapy · 08/05/2020 18:40

Frers will be delivered by 8.30, I'm trying to hold my wee till then 🤣🤣

GraceG26 · 08/05/2020 18:47

@mrssoapy
I can't wait to hear! Make sure you post a picture 🤞🏼
