Ovulation tests

Hi was just wondering if anyone could help me. I did an ovulation test this morning and it was negative ( I have pcos and very irregular cycles, only have 4/5 periods a year) anyway after about an hour it was positive? Is this normal? Do they all do that? Or could I be about to ovulate?
I no you shouldnt read result after and I did take it as negative but I just wondered if they all do this.
It's a cheap strip test from ebay x

Do you mean the test got darker and you read it after an hour, or do you mens you took another test an hour later and it was darker?x

The same test got darker after an hour, sorry should of been more clear lol x

I'm sure you have to read them within a certain time for the reading to be valid, just like PG test

Yeah that's what I thought. I just wondered if that happened to them all, or maybe it was a sign I was about to ovulate, I don't no, I'm just clutching at straws I think haha x
