Implantation bleeding

just looking for a bit of advice please. It's quite a long one so i apologise.

I recently (Weds 29th April) started what I thought was AF. However, normally (despite having PCOS and very irregular cycles - between 50-75 days sometimes) my periods last a full 4 days and then I am medium/light on the 5th day until it tapers off. This time I started spotting pink/brown blood for about 2hrs which then turned in to red/dark red but was not as heavy as it usually is. This lasted until 5pm ish on Thursday 30th and then it was just very light and brown for the rest of the evening (sorry for tmi) and this continued until Friday 1st, again very very light and I officially "came off" around 3pm that day. During the time of the "period" i had what i thought was my usual period cramps and i also got backache (dont normally get backache). So, not only did i have a very short and unusually light period for me, this is the second month in a row where AF has turned up - its very rare for me to have 2 periods in 2 months. I was last on, on the 26th March and i ovulated around about the 11th April - not 100% on date but had EWCM and my usual ovulation pains. Partner and I DTD multiple times around that date.
After about a week I started getting very nauseous and lightheaded, lost my appetite and was barely eating, was (and still am) very bloated and the nausea is still continuing. Not constant but keep getting it in waves, particularly when I'm around food. As I was feeling like this i have taken multiple (a lot blush) of tests and they've all been BFN's.

I am just wondering if this sounds like it could be implantation bleeding? Did anyone else have quite heavy IB? If so, how long after IB did you get a BFP?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately with PCOS I think it could be anything.

After 3 cycles of 45-54 days I think I've just ovulated on CD17 and was bleeding for 5 days (all brown spotting except one day when I needed a pad).

Research says 3% of women get ovulation bleeding.

Maybe look at doing something to reduce cycles? I started myo-inositol in December and that's what has brought my cycles down from 6 months to 45 days (and if I did ovulate this month, maybe 28-30 days).

Hopefully it is implantation bleeding for you!

Thanks AP, I've not heard of that will have a look in to it. I got diagnosed in October '19 but the doctor was useless. Literally said "your scan shows PCOS, that's it." Hmm and sent me on my way. Did a test this morning and BFN so don' t think it was IB unfortunately although still feeling very nauseous and bloated. Confused

Went to have my usual morning bath and felt sick at the thought of it! Had to put lots of cold in and it was practically completely cold before I could get in. I normally LOVE hot baths 😩 not sure what's going on, think I'll have to ring the doctors in the morning

@AK17Mummy could be as simple as a bug and nothing to do with your cycle at all? Flu or something?

AK17Mummy · 03/05/2020 19:44

Yes that's what I'm thinking - going to ring my doctors in the morning and see what they say.
