Hi @GemmaMay3291 & welcome!! Thumbs up on the smileys & EWCM! I can’t specifically help on the temping, I’ve tried a bit of it but my sleep is pretty erratic so I find it really hard but I would say try not to worry too much lovely, you prob don’t have issues if other things point to ovulation, relax for a bit & continue to DTD & see. A low temp (if it is, I don’t know, Google’s always bad anyway for things) doing it at home at the minute in lockdown is unlikely to get seen I think so maybe best to just keep tracking keep bonking & 🤞🏻It doesn’t matter. If next month you are still worried you could always phone your GP for a telephone consult?

@babyG123 Thursday then 🤞🏻🤞🏻💕I have everything crossed those symptoms are right xx

I’m hoping my red spotting stays away again, it only came once last night so just hoping it was Cos of a lot of DTD? It didn’t half bring mine & DHs mood down 😥. Day off today then back on it tomorrow. I just hope I start to get some snifter of a smiley or something to indicate my body is doing something 🤔

Skyla01 · 04/05/2020 10:43

@GingerBaby89 I had 3 x ewcm this cycle, over a week apart. So for some of us ewcm is not the best guide to ovulation! I always DTD when I see some though, just in case.

@Ltay2 sorry about your symptoms, hope it isn't AF coming.

eljoy · 04/05/2020 10:51

Thanks @Minster2012 and @MrsEmilyB Smile

Wow this chat moves quick! Have loved catching up you are all an amazing group of women. Being in NZ doesn't help with the timezones either but I'll do my best. Had our first day with no cases today so hopefully we will move up one alert level soon I am DESPERATE for a haircut and a massage. But more staying home for the next couple of weeks.

Yay @Juno231 @vintagemoo and @CoronaBaby and @GingerBaby89 Star 10 day countdown is on. I came off the pill in jan after 16 years and caught my first positive opk last week (thank god for lockdown I am wfh and tested at lunch). I had otherwise been testing in the morning or at night so really pleased I caught it. Either i have been missing it or the first time I've ovulated since coming off the pill, so secretly hoping it's the latter. But not wanting to get my hopes up!

@NicNac85 and @Adrianoska huge congratulations!! And agree let this be the start for a whole bus of bfps xxx

Interesting to hear about not DTD during the 2ww..I was going to carry on as per but maybe will hold off. DH was enjoying the SMEP rhythm and was disappointed when I told him I had what I needed for the month lol

Demi24 · 04/05/2020 10:57

@GemmaMay3291 I have quite low temps. Mine usually go the lowest day before ovulation (around 35.8 but I have had temps as low as 35.45 before) and then spike up to around 36.25 after ovulation. I’ve had blood tests for my thyroid and to check for ovulation which both tests came back good so I wouldn’t worry about low temps. I just think some people are naturally colder than others x

@Skyla01
@GingerBaby89
@Minster2012

It's just so weird as with DS1 the little beautiful surprise I had nothing with symptoms! Didn't find out until 7 weeks at a smear. (Mini pill baby)

Can't believe how shit I feel, so in disbelief and pretending I have a bug even though we haven't left the house and I clean all shopping and post delivered 🤣

Newbie0818 · 04/05/2020 11:53

@RobinRose thanks for the link!

@babyG123 I know how nerve wracking testing is, but with those symptoms I’m sure you’d get a very dark line already 🤞🏼

@MrsLBear I’ll probably join you on the June bus once af arrives (still no sign -.-) as it seems with my long cycles I miss a bus each time! My time in April’s bus was pointless as nothing happened 😂

@Ltay2 sorry about af symptoms :(

Minster2012 · 04/05/2020 11:58

Ah but each time can be different @babyG123 😂

I’m afraid I’m out 😥literally just called DH in tears as Stupid AF has arrived again on CD 12 for the second time in a month this is now the 3rd AF with 11/12 days in between after having to have a medicated miscarriage after embryo wasn’t growing found on a scan in March. Have phoned the clinic & “yeah intermittent bleeding is normal” it’s not intermittent it’s leading me to believe it’s sorted then cruelly taking it away right when we are having all the fun FFS. Least we had a fab weekend this time. I hate my body, I hate being a woman right now & this entire lockdown for me has been a miscarriage low.
AND it was in my nice knickers 😂

Anyways onwards & upwards & we will still DTD every other day (in a few days I think) just in case Cos hey what else is there to do 😂
I’ll still lurk around I think Cos you guys are funny!

NemoBear7 · 04/05/2020 12:07

Wow! @RobinRose I’m loving the conception cup idea. Apparently you can use a menstrual cup instead. I have one of those and you’re post came at the perfect time for me as I’m due to ovulate in the next day or two.

Can’t believe I’ve not heard of this idea before! It’s so simple and yet makes such sense! Can’t wait to try it! Lol! 😁

Positivetime · 04/05/2020 12:19

@babyG123 sorry I’m struggling to keep up at work. Sorry you may have already said this but what symptoms are you getting?

BabyG123 · 04/05/2020 12:42

@Positivetime that's ok. Woke up 2dpo feeling super nauseous, thought great a bug! Anyway every morning I'm like it until around this time. (1/2pm) And every night too 8pm onwards. I mean it's doing my lock down shit diet a world of good.

Filled boobs again after saggy breastfeeding boobs were literally in full swing 🤣

Tired, DS1 sleeps 13 hours at night and 3 in the day so I've been joining him!

Dizzy spells

Cramping on the right hand side.

Swore not to symptom spot but I can't ignore it all as it's sooooo prominent!

Sorry the bugger AF arrived. 😘 💐

MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 12:46

Hopefully you don't have to @Newbie0818. What cd are you on now?
Sorry to hear that @Ltay2 I try and see it as ok right let's try again. For some reason I am actually more down mid tww which is probably spurred on by hormones tbf. Right now I just want af to start. I've got the cramps so half way there. I normally suffer very badly with them as well but I had the shortest cycle ever this time so hoping it has an affect on the intensity.

So sorry to hear you're still going through all that @Minster2012. I'm trying to think back to mmc as I had a d&c. I was bleeding on and off for a good 3 weeks I think. Are you doing opks at all? I have heard it can take a good 8 weeks to get back into your rhythm perhaps even more. I had 41 days from d&c until my next "period" but like I said I had bleeding on and off for more than half of that. My cycle after that was 39 days too. But I do have a long cycle every 3 cycles it seems. Really hoping it sorts it out as it's so disheartening going through all that and then having to start again but with the irregularities thrown in it's even worse. Sending you virtual hugs. Also we are all allowed our days where we just cry. I had that Friday. I was so sad and DH and I have a thing now where he knows when I'm not ok and 99% of the time I don't wanna talk about it I just tell him I'm sad and he knows and just having a hug in silence let's me get it out.

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 12:58

@GemmaMay3291 - flashing smiley yesterday generally means you'll get a static smiley today and then ovulate 12-36 hours after the static smiley 😊 I always have really low bbt before ovulation!

@juno231 - grossly enough, I'm also wondering whether it could have been DH's earlier ummm..... Deposit. It's been more watery since.

@Ltay2 - ahh I'm sorry darling. Have a hot bath, a strong coffee and a big glass of wine!

@skyla01 - I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated yet so we are gonna keep DTD

@Minster2012 - sending you the biggest virtual cwtch ever!!! Please hang out with us still ❤️❤️

Ltay2 · 04/05/2020 13:00

@MrsEmilyB @MrsLBear Thank you both! Just waiting for AF to appear in full force and then will most definitely be treating myself to a boiling hot bath and a G&T and feeling positive again now ahead of the next cycle 🤞🏼

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 13:11

@Ltay2 - if she does arrive in full force, take your time, have things you enjoy and think of this cycle as a new beginning. This article was mega helpful for me last cycle

Minster2012 · 04/05/2020 13:25

Thank you ladies @MrsEmilyB I’m totally backing you as we (were) similar stages & I think we are similar types of ppl!

@Ltay2 I’m sat in boiling hot bath currently whilst toddler sleeps no GnT but thinking about raiding the chocolate stash when I get out 😂 you are gonna enjoy it giiiirllll 💕

@MrsLBear I had MC mid March, 28 days later AF so I thought fab stuff, then 11days later AF, (so actually 7 days of not bleeding FFS) then now 3rd bleed 12 days later so 8 days of not bleeding (& we’ve been DTD a lot during that time 😂😂) I’ve been doing OPKs both “cycles” clear blue & ICs & not had any smiles or the other day on CD8 I got a ‘high’ but only 14 on the femometer IC midday but nothing on The CB. A lovely lady from the IVF thread I was on where we were on the exact same days & both had bleeding but she is ok (I message her on messenger still 💕) when I got pregnant for the MC sent me her unfinished packet of clear blue advanced & i had just started using them yesterday 😕so got some left for June

There’s plenty of scope for BFPs here especially @babyG123 😂

Sausage1990 · 04/05/2020 13:29

Wow girls... 2 days away and I had 12 extra pages to try to catch up on!!! I've done my best but fear I've missed some stuff.

Firstly huge CONGRATULATIONS @Adrianoska I am so so so excited for you!!!! Wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy! 💕

@newbie0818 sorry your still in limbo. My longest cycles were 51-69 days and I had all the tests which all came back fine so was put done to stress (I was in the middle of buying my house) but they settled back down until now. I'm assuming its stress again but it doesn't make it easier when you're in limbo. I agree the pill is not good for us really and I will never go back on it.

@MrsEmilyB thats what i don't understand - why does it take so long to conceive? Even when all the ducks are in line... Nothing. Surely it should be easier?!

So a little update from me.. CD39 today & I had quite a strong opk yesterday so obviously DTD and will continue to do so every other day. We just don't have it in us to DTD every day for the next 3 days... We've been at it every other day for the last 3 weeks... I'm hoping that was a peak and I very just missed it (71 on femometer so close to the peak zone). Trying to remain relaxed about it and remember that stress only delays things further...

Hope you're all doing OK xx

rathernotshare · 04/05/2020 13:40

Does anyone have any stories about internet cheapies vs FRER/Clearblue? Such as one showed positive the other showed negative?

I'm on the Ovia app and everything you ask on there seems to come back with direct contradictions to what I've read on Mumsnet Confused

GemmaMay3291 · 04/05/2020 13:44

Thanks for your replies @Minster2012 @GingerBaby89 @Demi24 @MrsEmilyB I wish I would have just asked on here first and saved myself the stress! Hopefully my temp will go up tomorrow. Just done another test and it’s still a flashing smiley so will test again tonight. My EWCM seems to have gone though 😞.

Read quite a few posts about those using Femometer. I really like the app but find that when using intelligent recognition for the LH test it doesn’t tend to pick up the test line that great. Or is just me haha x

Ltay2 · 04/05/2020 13:45

@Minster2012 I am looking forward more to the bath than anything else 😂 enjoy the chocolate!

@MrsEmilyB Thank you that is actually a very helpful article, and website in general. Will definitely be taking a look! 💕

Newbie0818 · 04/05/2020 13:50

So sorry @Minster2012 that is so frustrating for you 😞 onwards and upwards like you say, and just keep enjoying DTD following all our chat! I really hope it starts regulating for you x

@MrsLBear cd48 😨 getting fed up of waiting now.

@sausage1990 do you not normally have long cycles? Sorry if you said already but like you I am struggling to keep up with everyone’s posts!
Interesting that you got positive opk on cd39, not far off of my positives on 43 and 44, I’m wondering whether I ov’d and missed the chance now :( last blazing positive was on Thursday, but didn’t DTD until Saturday 😕 I hope you were lucky and caught yours! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

RobinRose · 04/05/2020 13:52

@NemoBear7 it’s worth a try! The menstrual cup sit lower than a conception cup but can’t hurt to try! 🤞 for you !

Newbie0818 · 04/05/2020 14:03

Actually that’s a question, ladies who remember my opk palaver last week, is it possible to have positive opk’s two days in a row, and if so, would DTD on Saturday morning be too late if the last positive opk I saw was Thursday? (CD44)
I was so focused on it possibly being pregnant that I just didn’t think to DTD as it was so late in my cycle!! Stupid stupid stupid!

Ltay2 · 04/05/2020 14:24

@Newbie0818 It is definitely possible to get a positive OPK 2 days in a row. I'm not sure how the Clear Blue ones work with the smileys so don't have any experience of those but I have definitely had positive on cheapies 2 days in a row before. The LH surge detected is usually 24-48 hours before ovulation actually happens so depending on when you actually ovulated then there is a good chance Saturday would have been included I think.

rathernotshare · 04/05/2020 14:30

@Newbie0818 my last cycle was 62 days 😫 that was after stopping the pill so fingers crossed back to normal now?!!
