OPK testing - when is best to start?!?!

Hi all,

I bought some OPK strips recently to start using in my next cycle.
My cycles can be irregular, the last one was 35 days.
I am currently on day 6 of my new cycle. I looked at the instructions and they suggest starting the testing from day 18 based on a 35 day cycle.
As things are often irregular, should i base my cycle on a 28day cycle (being the shortest cycle I have had)?
I've never used OPK's before so unsure of when is best to start!!

Thanks in advance!

I'd err on the safe side and start earlier rather than later! Otherwise I'd drive myself mad wondering if I'd already missed ovulation by the time I even started testing. Maybe CD10?

Thank you for your reply Juno231Smile
I was thinking to just go with a 28day cycle and see what happens but wasnt sure if I was being a bit OTT with it all Grin

I agree. Also I think afternoon or early evening are the best times to test (11-4pm)

I test once a day until they start getting darker then I do twice a day. You should try the Premom app for tracking I find it really helpful.
