Hi I’m new to mumsnet, I’m not sure how to post a picture but my period is in 3 days and I’ve just had what looks like a positive test. The line is not dead in the centre does this matter? Also I’ve used a cheap brand from amazon called femometer. Does anyone know if this is a reliable brand and if it could be a false positive. I’m just extremely surprised as we only did it once and last time it took us a year to conceive. The line is very faint. If anyone can tell me how to post a picture that would be great! Thank you!

I dont think they let you post a picture straight away, you have to wait maybe 24 hours. There will be a little paperclip to attach it when you can. I think if there is a line it will more than likely be positive anyway as it is hard to get a false positive. Congratulations!

@DoctorBambino thank you. :) I'm hoping it gets darker. I've had a chemical pregnancy before so nervous it could be that. Probably shouldn't have tested so early.

Hi Lottie, I wondered what your result was? I am in the TWW and I have used a couple of the Fermometer tests and there is a very faint line. Now I'm reading the reviews for the product on Amazon and a lot of people have said that they tested with tap water and got a faint line!

Hi Laura, it got a bit darker the next day but I wouldn’t rely on them, as a day after that I tested again and there was barely a line and I got upset thinking something was wrong. I got clear blue in the end and got a thick line. Definitely worth getting another test to be sure. Am 11 weeks now. Good luck.

Ah brill thanks Lottie, I will buy a couple of other brands I think. Congratulations on your pregnancy :)
