TTC - Thermometer Tracking Help?

Hey!

My partner and I are trying to conceive and have been since last September/October.

My periods are irregular so never know when ovulating someone on another forum suggested the thermometer tracking.

I ordered one and arrived today so took my temperature and downloaded the app but not sure how it all works?

Can someone explain please? X

As far as I understand it you need to take your temperature as soon as you wake up, at the same time, each morning before you get up/do anything. You need at least a stretch of 4 hours sleep. What you should see is a baseline of temperatures, then a slight dip around ovulation followed by a steady rise of temps above your baseline which should indicate ovulation has occurred. During the luteal phase temps remain high and continue to do so if pregnant, otherwise they'll drop below the baseline a few/couple of days before period.

What app are you using? :) I'm using Fertility Friend and Flo, although the graph is much better on FF. I've been tracking BBT since October last year, and do find it helpful and accurate for me.
