Hello to everyone, very new to the forum. We are currently TTC for our first, I was diagnosed with PCOS last year so it's been a bit of a traumatic time but this has been my first month where my BBT has shown an obvious ovulation. I'm now 8DPO and since yesterday morning I've been experiencing mild to moderate cramps and tender breasts. I'm not due AF until the end of next week, but could these cramps be AF coming early? I have taken a hcg test this morning and it was a BFN, I am trying not to get my hopes up.

Thank you to everyone who posts on here, such a relief to not feel like I'm alone in this!

I'm in exactly the same position, I'm 8 DPO and been get mild cramps but I'm not sure if it's all in my mind lol I also took a test this morning and got a BFN

I'm going to test again at the weekend and just see what happens

Good luck 🤞🏼

@Lauren1288 have you ever got cramps before AF before? I just can't think why else I would be having cramps, but I don't want to symptom spot and go crazy with it!
Good luck to you too, fingers crossed!!

I am 7DPO and have very mild cramps. Feels like AF cramps though so don't know what to think of it, AF not due for a week but I do usually get cramps a few days before.

I've been trying 3 years and over the many cycles have experienced all kinds of pains and twinges etc. one month I will have af like cramps and next month have sharp pokey sort of pains. I think when ttc you become really in tune with your body and notice pains you wouldn't normally notice. Just got to try and wait it out and see what happens
Good luck

Hello, I have PCOS too so I sympathise with the stress of TTC in this situation. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to overthink it at the moment. It could be early AF even if you are usually regular. But lots of people gets cramps in early pregnancy too. I had crampy pain up to about 8 weeks which scared me, but it was all fine and just went away one day. You’re quite early for a positive pregnancy test so I wouldn’t worry about the BFN but try as much as poss to stay calm and test again in a few days.

Thank you, you're all totally right, I just need to try and relax a bit. I don't know how you can cope with the anxiety every month though!

I used to get really upset once af had arrived. And also symptom spot every month. I've got pcos too so know how hard it is. I just try now to not think about it once fertile window is over, it will happen eventually for us

Belalice · 30/04/2020 13:56

@cosmo30 keeping my fingers crossed it'll happen for you and everyone else soon!!

Hello ladies may I join please?

AF is due in 4-5 days woke up today with sore nipples and still got lotion type CM and a little crampy ? I don't usually have lotion type CM before AF. Do any of you have this?

cosmo30 · 30/04/2020 18:51

@Belalice same to you!

Belalice · 30/04/2020 19:08

@Fairydust93 to be honest, this is the first normal, natural cycle I've had in years so I don't know if what I usually have! How long have you been trying?

Fairydust93 · 01/05/2020 06:58

@Belalice oh no I'm sorry to hear that sending you lots of baby dust... To be honest before my son I tried everything and then got to fed up of not falling pregnant I just relaxed about it all and fell pregnant 2 months later and this time me and DP said we won't force it we will just go with the flow so I only track ovulation

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 07:23

I am 8DPO today and had AF like cramps all night. Still a week until my AF due and I don't normally get cramps this badly so early. They are more of a constant ache too whereas AF cramps come in waves.

Belalice · 01/05/2020 14:05

@Fairydust93 wish I could relax, it's great advice but I can't seem to bring myself to do it. I'm on a complete downer today because I (stupidly) have just realised my symptoms could be PMS. I haven't had PMS before and thought it started just before AF, but as this is my first normal cycle, the PMS might just have been marked before. Do you still have your symptoms?
@Ltay2 different than normal would seem to be a good sign surely? Keep my fingers crossed for you!

@belalice how did you get on? Hopefully it was a good sign for you!

Belalice · 16/05/2020 00:07

@whambam89 I got my BFP at 15dpo, after almost totally ruling myself out! I'm now just trying to relax and not get too excited or too anxious. Hope everyone else got their BFPs too x
