Came of pill TTC but don’t know if I have ovulated yet

Hi,
I am 26 years old and just came off my pill (levest) on the 13th April, had my usual withdrawal bleed 17-21st however I have no idea if I have ovulated or not. I had a few headaches and cramps a few days after coming off but have had no symptoms other than that. I have used the boots ovulation sticks starting from last week but kept getting faint lines (I have read that these are not the best brand to use) before I went on the pill I never had any problems with my periods but I did go on 10 years ago! Has anyone had the same experience or am I just being impatient? Thanks 😊

Hi, no real words of advice I'm afraid but I'm in the same boat.

Came off the pill on 8th April but it was the mini pill so I didn't usually have any periods and didn't take a break between packets.

I've been trying to patiently wait for my withdrawal bleed but aside from some VERY light spotting about 3 days after I stopped the pill, I've had nothing.

No idea when (or if) I have ovulated or when my first period will arrive. I haven't tried using sticks yet - but might if there is no sign of AF any time soon!

I'm sure someone else will be able to advise of the science behind coming off the pill and when ovulation usually occurs, I'm feeling very ill informed! But in the meantime, best of luck to you on your TTC journey! x

A good sign of ovulation is egg white cervical mucus - did you have any of this? Maybe next cycle use the internet cheap strips and do one at least twice a day once they start to get darker. Good luck

Definitely worth getting some ovulation strips. I'm on cycle 12 of TTC and have ovulated on a slightly different day each month, so having the strips has been really useful. And if you've had any egg white cervical mucus you probably have ovulated.
FYI I didn't ovulate for the first two months after coming off the mini pill

TMI sorry - I noticed some sort of fluid the other night when I went for a wee it was clear and was sort of just hanging there however I am unsure if this was semen (I can’t see how it would be as I had sex 20 hours previously and had a shower that morning) but I really have no idea! I don’t know if I am just getting my hopes up! I have heard people having really bad symptoms after coming off the pill but I haven’t really felt much different and I don’t know if this is a good thing or something to be concerned about!
