Hey,

Anyone here trying for a baby but suffer with overactive thyroid?

Do you have any issues conceiving? Are you on medication to help conceive?

Hi OP,

I'm under active & have spoken to my GP who advised no medication changes until I conceive

Would recommend you having a blood test to make sure you're in range if you haven't had one for a while

We are month 6 now of TTC, unsure if this is down to my thyroid

Good luck Smile

I'm not but my sister in law is.
She spoke to her doctor when she decided to try and conceive and they did regular blood tests and tweaked her medication. When she was at optimal levels she tried to conceive and get pregnant straight away. She was 40 as well.
She had regular blood tests throughout the pregnancy and her daughter is now a healthy one year old.

Got pregnant, not get. Sorry

It was official today, just need to wait to see a specialist at the hospital. I’ve had two blood tests to confirm it.

The GP advised me that it might not be a great idea to get pregnant until they have a firm understanding of what it is I’ve got. I’m approaching my two week wait so there’s a possibility I’ll be pregnant. Fingers tossed because it’s been two years of trying.
