TTC - Failed Implantation?

Good morning, I was wondering if I could get some advice. Sadly I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks at the beginning of the year. Since then, my husband and I have been trying to conceive again but not fully ie. not using ovulation tests etc yet. I use an app to predict ovulation and just have fun around that time / when discharge is like egg white.

Question is, last month I had spotting a couple of days before my period was due. This lasted a couple of days before turning to bleeding similar to a period but much lighter. I thought this could be implantation but all tests were negative.

Fast forward to this month and the same is happening again. I’ve had spotting for a couple of days which has turned to period like bleeding. Period is estimated for two days time but I’ve noticed my cycles differ. Ive has some cramping like I normally would.

Could these be failed implantations or very early miscarriages? It’s too early to test this time. I’ve never had spotting before a period or light periods like this.

I can’t help but will follow with interest because this happened to me last month! My periods vary between 24-28 days but are always the same in how they start. Last month I had light pink spotting for 3 days until AF kicked in. I am sure it’s never happened before but then maybe I just wasn’t so observant in the past.

I’ve been monitoring / recording my periods since I came off the pill more than a year ago and I’ve never had spotting. It always starts really heavy :( I want a baby so bad. My husband isn’t keen on ovulation tests as he thinks it takes the romance out of it all.
