Hi ladies,

So I just got my second BFN Sad and now waiting to start third cycle of ttc first baby. I'm 31, very nearly 32.

I have somehow convinced myself that this is never going to happen for us. I keep reading posts that are people getting pregnant first cycle and it seems to be either first cycle or like a whole year.

So I would love to hear some stories of people that got their BFP in say month 3, 4, 5 or 6... to keep up the hope!

Thanks

Hello, I'm sorry you are feeling this way and I'm sorry you didn't get a bfp, sending you hugs and baby dust! 19th October 2017 I had a positive test then 5 days later sadly had a miscarriage, I then focused so hard on trying to concieve Nov and December I was so frustrated and angry that in January I had a quite word to myself and thought you know what I'm not going to abscess over this. All I done was relaxed worked out when I was ovulating and in February 2018 I fell pregnant and now have a 17 month old. I really hope you get a bfp very soon! Good luck sending baby dust to you x

It sometimes seems like everyone falls pregnant instantly! We have been ttc for 16 months now, one miscarriage on cycle 8, but I have had tests done and everything came back normal. My GP said it's not unusual for it to take up to 2 years for a healthy couple to conceive, which is very frustrating as I want to to happen now. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

I know it's so frustrating but up to a year is perfectly normal in any healthy couple! Any longer than that there are lots of tests etc to be done for you both to check all is in working order. It took me 6 months - try not to stress about it (but I know it's hard). What I struggled with was the fact I'd been on the pill for 11 years, convinced if i missed just 1 pill I'd be pregnant but in reality it's just not that simple for the vast majority. Best of luck x

Thank you @bluebell94 that has been exactly my thinking, been on the pill for what feels like my whole life! Doesnt help that my mum conceived me on the pill!
