I know it's early, but I know I ovulated and I know we dtd on that day, and yesterday I could not stop going for a pee.... Like bursting all of a sudden. So I done a test (ebay ic bulk tests lol) and there was a faint line... Waited an hour done another one... Fainter line. This morning... Still a faint line... And then an hour or so ago i just couldn't stop thinking about it and done another one and another faint line. Pics included. Early bfp starting to form? Lines are definitely pink and appear straight away. (only opened tests to get a good picture) don't worry Grin

You really must try and get a different brand to confirm. It would such a shame for this to be a bad batch (it can happen). Keeping fingers crossed for you Flowers

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:05

It can't be a bad batch, I've used these for a looooong time, I've never had this. And I ran out after the first ones and had to wait for more to come, so that's two different packs.

Why do you keep taking them apart?

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:15

Just to get a good picture, there's a plastic film over the line bit and the sunlight keeps causing glare and you can't see anything. The lines are there long before I open it up lol I've also used the cheap test strips for a long time and they arent covered in any plastic and are still reliable.... So if the idea of opening a test up causes false positives then the cheap test strips would be positive for every woman who used them....

Looks positive to me!

hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 11:20

In same position as you with the same tests :) this is my lines. My periods are wonky so think I'm late also! I can definitely see lines on yours :)

Oooooh I can see yours too Grin

@Mabeebabee87 I put up a thread other day and loads of people saying I don't see it re test with a reputable brand blah blah blah, you can get false positives yes maybe one but not multiple.. 🙈🙈🙈. The ones I bought were off zoom baby and said was nhs approved so that's "reputable brand" enough for me!

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:33

I've been using one step off ebay for a long time. We've been trying for years and 20 tests for £9 is alot cheaper than for one or 2. I'm not rich lol and the amount of tests Ive done I would of spent thousands lol I've seen negatives... I've seen Evap lines.... I've seen ghost lines... Imagining lines... The lot. And I've never had this. So as far as I'm concerned... For the moment at least... I'm pregnant Grin

I can see yours too hopeful Thanks

I spent thousands on pregnancy tests when we were having ivf so I can see a line before it develops 😂

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:38

I feel like I'm dreaming honestly. Like I don't want to believe it lol I don't know how many hours of my life I've sat staring at tests 🙊🙈

OP posts:
hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 11:41

@Mabeebabee87 yeah I don't quite believe it either doesn't seem real so in my head i don't believe it but I know if I really wasn't pregnant the tests would be stark white negative and not showing anything. I got my bloods done on Tuesday to double check and awaiting those results!

@danni0509 yay!! Haha. Yeah I'm stick of spending a fortune on tests! All are the same strip underneath anyway :)

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:45

Your paying for the brand......everyone tells you frer or cb are the only ones you can trust so people believe it. Doctors don't use them.... Doctors use cheap ones.

OP posts:
hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 11:46

@Mabeebabee87 yesssss. I'm sick of seeing everyone say confirm with a clear blue or a FRER! If they were that great then like you said why would docter use cheap ones and not say to you "let me just confirm this with a FRER"

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:50

@hopeful97 I know right!! Grin

OP posts:
hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 11:51

@Mabeebabee87 although there is a part of me that's freaking out that I'll end up going for a scan and nothings going to be there 😂

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:52

It's the "why did you open the test" ones that confuse me..... It doesn't make a difference lol the plastic doesn't alter the result in any way lol. Hcg doesn't float about in the air and as soon as you open a test it catches them all and turns positive 😂

OP posts:
Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:54

That's how I feel too..... I keep thinking nah this isnt happening... Its gonna go away.....i don't think I would actually 100% fully believe it until I seen a little peanut on a screen lol

OP posts:
hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 11:55

@Mabeebabee87 yesssss 😂😂😂😂 if that was the case then why do they sell strips without casings.. 😬 if you went to the doctor and said oh my periods late but I seen a faint positive line on one test but I didn't confirm it with an FRER/ Clear Blue so I can't be pregnant, the doctor's would probably think you're bloody bananas!

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 11:59

It's not like it's that easy to just pop to the shops right now either. I'm staying in and staying safe 😊

OP posts:
hopeful97 · 07/05/2020 12:00

@Mabeebabee87 exactly even more so when you're pregnant! My docter wasn't even going to send me for bloods if I didn't ask to confirm it, she never said oh did you confirm it with a different brand 😬😬 my last period was 20th March so unsure what will happen when I get my results back as it's been a while. 🤞🏼 they're even positive or I'll look like a prize idiot 😂

keepingbees · 07/05/2020 12:02

People are only recommending a branded test because they don't want you to be disappointed. I've seen several posts where there has been a line on a cheap test that has turned out to be false. Certain cheap tests can give false positive lines, the £1 ones you buy in Asda are known for it if you look at the reviews.
If I had a faint positive on a cheapy I would confirm with a more reputable test, but obviously that's up to you. I really hope this is your positive anyway Smile

TTCSoph2019 · 07/05/2020 12:03

I can definitely see lines or your photos, really hoping it's a confirmed BFP for you!! Xx

I've just posted a test photo with a shadow of a line on a new post, would you take a look and see if you can see it too?

Understand it's not a confirmed BFP just want some reassurance me and my husband aren't going crazy! 🤪

Mabeebabee87 · 07/05/2020 12:03

With that test I'm sure they will be. If it goes away now it will be a chemical... That's what I'm scared of too. That it's going to go away now 😢 it's like yay I'm pregnant.... But don't start getting excited because it's probably going to go away
