2 weeks ago, I found out I was pregnant. A week ago, when my period was due, I started to bleed so accepted it was a chemical miscarriage. This week, I feel nauseous and off certain foods. I took a test today out of curiosity to check my hcg levels and had a bfp even though I bled quite a lot during af. Could this just be a delay in my hcg levels returning to zero? I didn't think you could have a heavy bleed and still possibly be pregnant?

Please help me... what is going on?

I would contact your GP. They can do blood HCG level to see if it's falling or doubling after 48hrs

It took 7 days for my HCG to stop showing Positive on tests after my miscarriage.
But The other side of the coin is that bleeding in early pregnancy is actually quite normal get some blood work done

Give your GP a ring. I don’t know if they’ll do anything with the current situation but a heavy bleed would’ve usually warranted a referral to the EPU and a scan (in my area at least, I know it’s a bit of a postcode lottery). All the best, I hope things are clearer soon x
