Working out dates on a 40 day cycle

Good morning all,

I'm struggling to make sense of my days. We started trying in December 2019, I have since miscarried in February and March 2020.

My apps have me at a 40 day cycle, which I'm not sure if is my normal, or if is my new normal with the delayed miscarriages.

The first day of my last period was 30th March; I couldn't pick up my ovulation on a stick this month but had EWCM on the 16th April. My period is not due for another 10 days or so according to some apps. How would I work out my DPO to test?!

Thanks
Katie

It really depends how long your luteal phase is. (After ovulation, before period). I usually get EWCM 1-2 days before ovulation, if you're similar it would make you around 10dpo, which, if you are lucky could give you a faint positive on a FRER. The only way to really know is by using the temperature method as that's the only way (besides scans) to confirm exactly when you have ovulated.
