Moisturiser and condom

Husband had been massaging my back with Aveeno moisturising cream. He didn’t wash hands and then put condom on. Could integrity have been affected by the cream on hands?

Basically that was on day 9 of my cycle which would have been in fertile period. Day 22 I had brownish blood similar to when I had implantation bleed with baby 1. So either my cycles are messing around and something else is wrong or I’ve just had an implantation bleed having had protected sex! Would residue of cream on hands have an affect? Would we have noticed?

Is it oil based? I'm sure it isn't.

You only need to worry if it's lol based.

I think it's highly unlikely it would have significantly affected the integrity of the condom.

Hope not. Sounds crazy but I’ve emailed Durex!

Haha not a bad shout to be fair. Let us know what they say!

Have you done a pregnancy test?

user1472802695 · 28/04/2020 01:39

Not yet. Only day 25 of cycle today so really need to wait until my period is due at the weekend. If it was implantation on day 23 then I’d need a few days for hcg to increase. Maybe the bleeding thing happened with recent increase in exercise
