Is this a positive OPK?

Hi all,
Have been doing opks for the last week and have this one today, it is the boots own brand.
I really don't know if it is positive or not. I don't have EWCM.
My fertile period is approximately from today for the next 7 days but it could really be all over the place since I had an ectopic 3 months ago.

Any help would be much appreciated x

No not yet. I'd say it's probably a high reading though so keep an eye out for your peak potentially cropping up soon. If you're struggling to interpret the readings I'd strongly recommend using an app like femometer or pre-mom for it, I'd be lost without one!

Thank you for your reply.
I will keep a close eye on it.
What is the best time to do OPKS do you know?

Hiya, not positive yet. It needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. I would say your peak is coming up soon.
I used to take one around 11.30am and again at 3.30pm. If it was getting dark then i may even do another about 7pm.
Good luck! Xx

I use a really useful app which tells you when you get your peak on an OPK - it's called Femometer 🙂 hope it helps xx

BTW, check the instructions for the OPKs but usually for cheapies like that it's between 8am-10pm but without using your first morning wee. Also remember to not drink too much before the test and to hold your wee for min 2 h beforehand.

I'd say afternoons and second test in the evening are best for testing as the surges usually happen earlier on in the day but take a few hours before they'd register on a test. Mine mostly seem to be taken between 3-5pm. Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you to everyone that replied!
I've been doing 2 tests a day but still haven't had a surge yet despite it being my 'fertile week'
We've been DTD almost every day so I'm hoping that enough
Fingers crossed x

Aaah excellent 🥰 fingers crossed for you lovely 🙋🏼‍♀️

Was it an app which told you that you were in your 'fertile' week before? Xx

BMWL · 03/05/2020 18:13

Thanks @HalfPenny28 Smile
I have been using the Ovia app which previously was very accurate with ovulation/fertile week. But unfortunately that pregnancy was an ectopic, so I'm at only 2 months on from the surgery so cycles have been all over the place so I'm happy to get a positive OPK! X
