Okay so last Thursday I had ovulation symptoms. Myself and DP did the deed. A week on and I’ve just now got the slightest (sorry TMI) white thin mucus when I go to the loo? I’m confused as I thought this was a sympom of ovulation? I’d like to think I’ve hopefully gone passed that phase fingers crossed after doing the deed. Anyone else experienced this? Ps I stopped the pill 5th April xxxx Flowers

I have had this as an early symptom in 2 of my 3 pregnancies! I was also confused the first time it happened, until I had a positive pregnancy test and it continued happening for maybe the first 6 weeks or so.
I hope this is a positive sign for you!

@emvy okay. It was very little and faint. But who knows?? I've only just come off the pill on the 5th April so I'd be surprised if this is an early pregnancy sign already. Fingers crossed though! How long did you leave it to test? Cos I haven't had a natural period since finishing the pill I have no date to work from haha! Xxx

That would be lucky and great! Haha. I actually had no periods for months after coming off the pill when TTC first time round and the doctor told me to test every 5 weeks. So maybe test 5 weeks from April 5th?

About 7 days post ovulation we have a secondary estrogen surge. Estrogen is what causes the fertile CM. I get ewcm or the watery kind (exactly the same as ovulation) about 7-9 DPO every cycle. It is likely this is what is causing it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you! X

@Beau20 thank you for that! We are trying conceive our first so that's why I seem so clueless lol. I'm not sure how long I should leave to test. It's so hard not to have the urge so soon lol xxx

@WineLover1234 try and wait until 10DPO, that is probably the very earliest you'd get a positive on an early detection test like first response. Honestly though, coming from someone that's been trying 10months, wait until you've missed AF. I've tested early for the 1st 6 months every month and got 2 positives in that time only for AF to show and they be chemical pregnancies. If I didn't test early, I would never know - it's not worth the heartbreak and stress. Hold out as long as you can x

Yes it sounds like the second estrangement surge, which I don't think any woman ever noticed until we TTC :)

It's normal and isn't a sign of pregnancy - what is though is a continued creamy mucus instead of a period, but that doesn't happen for everyone straight away, depends on your pregnancy hormones coming in once conception has occurred.

Good luck.
