my period is late and not pregnant

I dont have any children yet. But my husband are wanting to starting trying in a couple of months. so last october i stopped the bc pill. its been about 6 months since off the pill. the first 3 months that i was off my period came exactly the same date each month which was the 28. then in jan-feb my period came on feb 2nd. in march my period was even later on the 14th. its april 22 and i havent gotten my period. Im not sure if my body would probably still be regulating post pill. i checked a pregnancy test and it was negative. Part of me worries that i will have a hard time conceiving. before my pill my period werent always exact but ranged around 32-35 days

I was on the pill for about 10 years and came off about 6 months before TTC. Exactly the same as you, around 5 week cycles - but as a teen before being on the pill it was always monthly every 4 weeks. Conceived at first try, so I wouldn’t worry too much.

I’ve had really irregular periods since coming off the pill in August too. So annoying as I was regular as clockwork pre -pill (11 years ago- I’m now 27) and now my shortest cycle has been 32 days, longest 46 days. Currently on cd 36... I’ll NEVER go on the pill again, even though I can’t be sure it’s that.
Hopefully we’ll regulate soon 😕 Everyone’s body is different though, some get pregnant very quickly, and for others it takes a lot longer. Fx for you though 🤞🏼
