Hi.
I have used the clear blue Digital Ovulation Test Kit for the first time this month after just using apps as a guide ( I have used the cheap
Strips before but couldn’t get on with them). I was surprised to find i ovulated about 4 days earlier than my app suggested so glad I bought these! My question is, the test shows a smiley face to pin point your 2 most fertile days. So I did the test Saturday am, blank circle , did the test Sunday am, smiley face, so had sex Sunday Pm. Is this the correct time to dtd? Or do I still need to keep trying?we have been trying quite a while now and it’s a massive strain and I don’t want sex to become a chore so trying to time things as well as I can! Any advise would be great. Thanks xx

I gave up with the 2 day OPK because I missed my LH surge. If you're not successful this month (fingers crossed for you that you are) try switching to the 4 day OPK. It gives you the flashing smiley when your oestrogen rises, and then a solid smiley when the LH surge is detected. You might ovulate as the surge happens, or a couple of days after. With the 4-day OPK you can make sure you're DTD every couple of days in the run-up to ovulation and make sure some swimmers are there to meet your egg.

First month I used the 4 day OPK we were successful. It didn't last, but we're trying again next month after this AF.

Best of luck
