Anyone 3DPO?

Hey all

So I think 3DPO today, based on average cycle length

Last month trying, have a 15 month old but 39 and we thought we would take a punt on 1 month lol before we know we have an only.

Took 6 years to conceive, don’t want IVF so it’s unlikely but I’m a bit excited.

Anyone else?

Hi! Im 3dpo im 42 and on my 7th cycle ... i have 3 grown up children from my previous marriage but am trying for first baby with my new husband and finding it very difficult.... i feel that its not going to happen ... but weve done everything right this month i hope! Now just to get this tww over with!

ChumpChop · 21/04/2020 10:37

TWW is so bad, I had so much of it. I’m actually not stressing because it would be a joy for another but equally as ok to not, and I’m expecting not to if I’m honest.

Are you tracking ovulation at all?

OP posts:
Lizziejayne13 · 21/04/2020 10:56

Yeah well im lucky that i get significant OV pains on day of ovulation which was friday/Saturday and then i usually get AF exactly 2 weeks later .... my periods are getting lighter as im getting older though so im worried that menopause is looming...

dorapie · 21/04/2020 16:06

I am 3dpo too, also with a 15 month old! Been trying since January, but it's been hard because my periods only came back in February after stopping breastfeeding.

Since then my cycles seem to be 25 days long, which puts me on the edge of a short luteal phase. I needed progesterone to conceive DC1 and am really hoping I don't need it again this time as it will be difficult to get hold of. I don't seem to have the other symptoms of low progesterone I had before so we'll see ..

Good luck, both! Hopefully this is our month.

ChumpChop · 21/04/2020 17:11

@Lizziejayne13 - Good luck to you, it's a hard Journey. Can th doc check hormones for you, as you are over 40?

@dorapie - I had a friend who had acupuncture for a short LP - worth a punt?

OP posts:
Lizziejayne13 · 21/04/2020 17:21

Im not entirely sure i was going to see the doc but with all the corona virus stuff i feel its far from their priorities at the moment, and i wasnt even sure if i would even be taken seriously as i have 3 older children? But once all this is over it wont hirt to ask i guess, i also have hypothyroidism Which i take meds for and i think that affects fertility so i think ill go see the docs in a few months time for some blood tests maybe? In yhe meantime im hoping it happens naturally! Grin

dorapie · 21/04/2020 18:35

@ChumpChop did it work for your friend? I did have acupuncture last time too, but it was definitely the drugs that made the difference (with an unintended consequence that the acupuncture got rid of my awful period pain). Will definitely be looking to do it again once we get out of lockdown.

@Lizziejayne13 fingers crossed it happens naturally for you! It's gutting to have life plans on hold at the moment, even if everyone's are!

MummyT13 · 22/04/2020 12:39

I'm on cycle 16 TTC #3 and I'm 5DPO today. I feel exhausted today.. but I do every time I ovulate 🙄 anyone else get this?

ChumpChop · 22/04/2020 14:18

@dorapie - yes it did work, and I took 6 more years after I told her about LP being short! HA that upset me LOL

@Lizziejayne13 I guess Docs may help after a few months, or is it work it to you to go private?

@MummyT13 I'm knackered all month with my DS lol

@MummyT13 and welcome

Sorry all late reply.

MummyT13 · 22/04/2020 15:21

@chumpchop Thanks! I get that! Mine are 4 & 6 YO and the do make me tired. When you due to test?

Lizziejayne13 · 24/04/2020 23:31

Hows everyone getting on? Any symptoms yet? What dpo is everyone planning on testing?

dorapie · 25/04/2020 03:58

I seem to have loads of symptoms where I don't usually have any at this point - either usually or the last time I was pregnant. Cramping on and off, up and down mood and a bit of nausea. I am hoping it's not a sign my period is coming even earlier than usual ...

It's expected on 11dpo so on my strong days I think 'I'll wait until 12dpo/no need to test' but I love peeing on sticks so imagine I'll cave and start 9dpo.

How about everyone else?

Lizziejayne13 · 25/04/2020 11:16

Im currently 7dpo and im already itching to test but need to stop myself .... my boobs are a little swollen but thats nothing out of the ordinary, i have no other symptoms a few twinges here and there but sometimes i think thats just because im aware of my body while ttc..... hate this waiting game :(

MummyT13 · 25/04/2020 12:57

I'm 8 DPO and I have every PMS symptom that exists 🙄 will test around 11DPO if I can wait that long! I have 50 IC in my drawer so I have plenty! Also love peeing on sticks!

Lizziejayne13 · 25/04/2020 14:02

Im a POAS addict but im trying to hold off....

MrsBlue1986 · 25/04/2020 14:39

Hey. I hope you dont mind me jumping on to this thread OP.

I think we may be in a similar cycle. I am currently 6DPO today and I have had some new symptoms this month that i didnt get the last 2 months when trying to conceive.

Have you had any of the following?
0-3 dpo no symptoms
4 dpo. left sided cramps on and off. CM slightly watery and white. Left a small white mark on underwear. sorry tmi ! It looked slightly lotiony and a bit like wet tissue paper inside!??!
5 dpo. Strong left sided cramps especially in the evening. Less CM but still wet and a little white.
6dpo. Last night i couldnt sleep, tossing and turning, really hot and night sweats and semi chills. Woke up today with a permanent headache and feel nauseous. Boobs look a little fuller.

Can anyone relate?? Xxx

Lizziejayne13 · 25/04/2020 15:42

Ive had cramps in right side the other day but ive dismissed it a bit because im watching for everything.... one thing i did have which was slightly different this month was some light spotting on ovulation day after BD (sorry if TMI) ... never had that happen before ...

Ltay2 · 25/04/2020 16:03

Hope I can join, I am 2DPO on second cycle, but first cycle really 'trying'. I'm 29 and this will be our first baby. New to all this TTC talk but finding these threads very useful! I am hating this TWW driving myself mad overthinking everything but exciting to get started again if this isn't our month.

Lizziejayne13 · 25/04/2020 19:05

Welcome @Ltay2 @MrsBlue1986 lots of baby dust ! Hope this is a lucky thread girls!!....

ChumpChop · 25/04/2020 21:03

Hey everyone

I don’t like it this is defo the last cycle !Blush

Lizziejayne13 · 25/04/2020 22:17

Same @ChumpChop when you gonna test? ...

Ltay2 · 26/04/2020 08:10

@Lizziejayne13 Thank you! Struggling so much with taking my BBT. Slept well last night but no interval of sleep was longer than 2.5 hours and so I missed my longest patch of sleep thinking I'd get more later. This is becoming a daily pattern now and stressing me more than the TWW!

dorapie · 26/04/2020 10:47

@Ltay2 I had exactly the same issue with temping which is why I gave up on it .. I am really disappointed it doesn't work for me.

@Lizziejayne13 and @ChumpChop it is like a rollercoaster, isn't it! Hopefully it will be the final cycle in a good way.

Ltay2 · 26/04/2020 11:35

@dorapie Do you now just track with CM and OPKs?
