Any buddies trying SMEP for the first time this cycle?

Hello all!

I am 26, and trying for my first baby. I'm currently on CD4 of Cycle 3. After two cycles of only DTD a few times in fertile window and no result, DH and I are going to give the Sperm Meets Egg Plan a go this cycle.

For those who don't know, the plan goes like this:

-> From CD 8 DTD every other day until a positive OPK.

-> Start testing with OPKs daily from CD 10 (but I will be using earlier as O'd on CD11 last month!)

-> From positive OPK DTD on the day of the + OPK and two days after, then miss a day and DTD again the next day.

We will also be using pre-seed for the first time this month.

Is there anybody else who is doing SMEP this month? Or anybody who has tried it before successfully or unsuccessfully?

After the disappointment of AF arriving early, I'm excited to start a new cycle.

First SMEP complete! AF due 1st June.. also my birthday .. lucky me! Everything crossed for us all

How is everyone doing?

After popping in my temps etc femometer moved my OV date a couple of days back so saying I'm actually 5DPO. AF will then be due on 30th giving me a 31 day cycle like last month which makes sense 🤞 had another temp rise this morning which is comforting xx

@vp91x femometer moved mine 2 days forward which was confusing. I had another slight temp rise today. AF due on Sunday

Hey @Hopefulmummie did you track with OPKs or anything that might also pinpoint it for you? I think they look at 3 continous temp rises to confirm xx

AF still not here for me, although I've been having cramps for last 10 days. It's a day late now and I'm normally bang on 28 days. Did another cheapy HPG this morning and nothing. Its DH birthday today so hoping that will distract me and if AF does come at least I can have wine!

@VP91x yeah I got my peak on cd14 and 15 and ovulation date was cd16 according to femometer

@Hopefulmummie most important thing is you got your temp rises too! How are you feeling? Are you due this sunday or next? X

@vp91x I was feeling quite positive but as it gets closer to AF due date I've ruled myself out already. Hopefully I'm wrong. Due this Sunday

I'm out ladies. AF just showed. Bummer! Again. Going to have ALL the treats this weekend and try to recoup enthusiasm. Also have a medichecks fertility test to do CD3 so at least that wont go to waste!

I phoned the docs this morning and they're doing a SA on OH so at least some good has come of it and we can start thinking about backup plans properly.

Thanks guys. Been trying not to wallow today but really felt like I've been a complete witch to my family. DH says I'm not really letting it affect my mood with everyone but I feel it is. Really thought month 20 was our month!
If anyone has any tips for how to do positive affirmations I'd be keen to hear it. Have struggled to do that but might have that as my new thing to try this month!
