Blazing dark opk, AF due

Ttc second at the mo. Irregular and quite lengthy cycles of 35-43 days. Fairly sure I OVd on day 18, DTD regularly around this time. Have had a blazing positive dark line on my Ovaviews for about three days, on CD 37. Terrified to get a HPT as the disappointment is crushing. Going to maybe do one Thursday. Just wondering if folk think this is a promising sign- would u expect the Lh surge that comes before AF to lead to such a dark line, for so long? No symptoms other than a little pulling around the uterus area, felt periody about two days ago but no sore boobs or nausea or anything. Thanks...

There’s one in the bathroom. Would love to have the excuse of living 5 hours from a shop or whatever. Am going to hold out til Thurs as that will be my average cycle length expired. Plus it’s first allowed wine / beer night so can hedge my disappointment.

I'm having the same dilemma! AF due tomorrow and a +opk. Not getting my hopes up but with my last pregnancies it was a sign but I was further along. I have PCOS so my cycles are irregular too but I track OV so I know roughly when it was.

Thank you and you too! It's very hard not to symptom spot and annoyingly BFP symptoms are like AF so it's easy to read into it🙁Fingers crosses!!

Updating sooner than I thought, I had a HPT test at the back of my bathroom cabinet I forgot about but it was a BFN, so an LH surge before AF is the reason for my +opk. Better luck to you!

If your opk is positive because of early pregnancy your pregnancy test will also be positive and clear. You can test now

Eventually bit the bullet, so for me it was a Bfp! Opks were light initially then went dark dark and stayed that way. That seems to be difference between bfp indicative ones and pre period lh ones.
