OK so only bene trying for one cycle but I was 3 weeks late before AF came, I wasn't pregnant tested negative and had negative blood test.

What's the best way to know if I'm ovulating? I'm confused now I've had such a long cycle xx

Opks help detect a surge of hormones which signal ovulation is about to happen. But they can be confusing. Going by cervical fluid is probably the surest way to know

Opks are ovulation testing kits you can buy to test when you’re ovulating. They work like pregnancy tests and you can get them cheap if you shop around. If this is your first month trying, were you on contraception before? I ask because I had been taking the pill and when deciding to start trying I went at it with military precision using testing kits etc and I didn’t get a positive test for ovulation in the first month or a withdrawal bleed or anything and I was really worried I wasn’t ovulating. By month 2 things settled down and I got a positive ovulation test right around when I expected to. I’m now on cycle 4, 2 days late and 99% sure I’m pregnant so try not to worry too much if the first few cycles are a bit iffy.

Cervical fluid or cervical mucus is the discharge (hate that word lol) you get throughout your cycle. When you're near to ovulation it goes more stretchy and clear, basically so the sperm can swim through it easier

Yes I was on the pill. I thought I'd caught cause I was so late but nothing lol waiting to finish AF now to try again. Thanks got replying x
