Hey!
So I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, bled for around 5 days so a normal cycle for me.
I've heard the first day of the bleed is cycle day 1 and I can ovulate in the next two weeks..
I've also heard I have to wait for the hcg hormone to drop down to a negative on a test before my cycle starts again..

Which is it?! I don't know when to start trying to conceive again.
The hormone is starting to leave now because I did a test yesterday morning and the line was very faded so within the next couple days the hormone will be low enough for a negative.

I just don't know how to gage when roughly I'll be ovulating, if it's from when I started bleeding I'll probably be ovulating roughly next week sometime, if it's from when the hormone has gone then it'll be in roughly two weeks time.

Any advice would be great thank you!

@Sho2207 Sorry to hear about your miscarriage 💔 I'm no expert but I wouldve thought the bleeding u had while still having hcg In your system wouldn't be a period but bleeding from your miscarriage. I would say to wait until u have a negative test then start tracking ovulation, it is recommended to wait until your first AF has arrived though as it can take a while to get back to normal & once AF has arrived u will have a rough idea when u ovulate.

Hi OP. I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks last summer. I bled for 8 days. I haven't recorded when I got a negative test but I did check before we started trying again to stop any confusion. I had a positive ovulation test on CD25 counting the first day of bleeding as CD1. I found my cycles were longer for a few months after the miscarriage and ovulation a bit later. I don't think anyone can tell you when you'll ovulate. If you track symptoms you should be able to tell when you start heading into your fertile window and then test.
