When did everyone get their BFP?

I'm just a little curious as to what DPO people started getting their BFP's and what the tests looked like at that point? I'm only 7DPO right now and trying to resist the urge to test but I'm a serial POAS-er and I'm not even going to deny it! And with this lockdown giving me more spare time than I anticipated, I'm finding hard to keep myself distracted! So what's all your BFP stories? Photos will be especially welcome ... 😂 x

I got mine at 12 dpo. I did a test at 10dpo and it was a stark bfn. The photo below is my bfp, 4 days before AF was due.

When did everyone get their BFP?
Peanut55 · 15/04/2020 18:41

21dpo. But I was in Mexico and couldn't face spending so much money on a test! So waited till I got home. I pretty much knew I was pregnant

Bluewater1 · 15/04/2020 18:43

12dpo on a FRER and it was a very very faint line

Beau20 · 15/04/2020 19:10

First pregnancy I tested 22DPO and only got a faint line (very obvious though). 2nd pregnancy the squntiest of squinters at 9DPO

chocolate26 · 15/04/2020 19:11

I got my positive test at 11dpo but it was very faint! I was getting strong ones by 14dpo

Aluasen · 15/04/2020 19:12

@onetime10 wow that's a dark line 😂 did you test between your 10dpo and 12dpo tests at all?

@Peanut55 that must have been hard having to wait for that confirmation! I struggle just with the tww!

@Bluewater1 I've got a few frer test stored away for when I think it's actually positive and I have a load of IC tests because I just can't help myself. I'm going to try to wait until my next day off work to test, which is Saturday. I'll be 10 DPO, which I know is still early but I'm only kidding myself if I think I'll be able to hold off until any later to start testing.

Decent BFP at 13 DPO.

Aluasen · 15/04/2020 19:16

@Beau20 that's such a wide range of days, did you ovulate late in the first pregnancy? I hear so many people saying they got positives at 9dpo. I'm going to try my hardest to wait as long as I can though.

@chocolate26 what tests did you use out of curiosity?

OP posts:
Aluasen · 15/04/2020 19:17

@amazedmummy did you test at all before that?

When AF was 7 days late! Got a BFN at 4 days late and wondered WTF was going on.

Aluasen · 15/04/2020 19:23

@Shmithecat2 that's definitely an unusual one!

@Aluasen I'm honestly not sure as I wasn't even tracking my cycles but they had all been a solid 28 days for 5 months so it's likely it was a normal ovulation time. I only tested late as I was on holiday. It was a very obvious line but the line was much much fainter then the control. It was a 25ml test whereas the one I did 2nd time around was a 10ml FRER at 9pdo

sauvignonblancplz · 15/04/2020 19:25

One child 10days PO.
Another negative until I was 14 days late.

amazedmummy · 15/04/2020 19:25

@Aluasen no I didn't. It took a long time to conceive DS and so I banned them from the house until I "felt" pregnant. It kept me a bit more sane.

Shmithecat2 · 15/04/2020 19:26

@Aluasen, yep, and he's kept me on my toes ever since Grin

BuffaloCauliflower · 15/04/2020 19:29

I tested at 7DPO on a cheapy dipstick and obviously got nothing. Tested again at 10DPO and got a faint line on a cheapy, then a pretty clear line on a FRER. Clear enough I think something might have shown at 9DPO, but I didn’t test then. I think 10 is generally the earliest sensible day, but lots of women don’t get BFP until many days later

Crystal87 · 15/04/2020 19:29

Always got a faint dpo on a cheap test at 9dpo and a solid line on a frer. 14 dpo the test line was a lot darker than the control line.

Crystal87 · 15/04/2020 19:30
  • faint line
OpticVA · 15/04/2020 19:32

Didn’t test until day AF was due at 14 dpo.

Elouera · 15/04/2020 19:41

I had IVF, so know the exact day of fertilisation, but not necessarily of implant. Using fertilisation as ovulation day, I had a very faint BPF on 14DPO. Previous 2 pregnancies it was 12dpo.

I'd bought a load of cheapies online called 'One step', which I definitely DO NOT recommend buying. yes they were cheap, BUT, despite me now being over 6 weeks, they are still so faint! I assumed for the 1st week that it was a chemical, till I bought a different brand and it came up straight away, and much darker.

One step are supposed to check 10iu/ml hCG, same as FRER, but I'm very sceptical and wouldn't recommend them at all! There was also a dud batch, which showed a negative result- despite me being 5 weeks at that stage. Lot 20171026, Exp 10252020 (25 Oct 2020)

Hannsmum · 15/04/2020 19:42

Got a very faint positive 9dpo on a frer

Aluasen · 15/04/2020 20:18

I seen a post somewhere that some people's LH spikes around the time they start to get a BFP. Did anyone get that at all? It would be interesting to see if that's actually true!
