Chemical pregnancy

I was just wondering if anyone has had 2 chemical pregnancies and then gone on to have a normal pregnancy? Now I'm saying it it sounds a bit stupid obviously some people have I guess I'm just panicking I had one in February and it looks like it's another one this month. After 3 positive tests AF showed up today

I had one in October and one again in Jan. I have had 2 normal pregnancies before this. I've heard of loads of people having successful pregnancies after so I'm sure you'll be fine xx

Me. I had two early miscarriages then a lovely, healthy, terribly naughty baby.

The odds are totally in your favour for having a successful pregnancy.

The doctor at the miscarriage clinic told me it's often a sign of fertility- you just have a very friendly womb who let's everyone in 😂

Don't hate me if everyone has asked you this, but have you tried taking low dose aspirin?

No one has mentioned aspirin to me before. How does that help? X

A few doctors and midwives have suggested it to me - the theory is it stops your blood being too sticky and helps nutrients get to the embryo. I was told that they don't know why it works, have no evidence that it works, but it works.

You need to take either 75mg or 150mg daily. You can buy it in Poundland as well as most supermarkets and pharmacists.

My friend swears by the book 'it all starts with the egg'. I've read it and do most of the things and think it's worth a try.

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings May will be our 8 month of trying so I'm willing to try. I'm currently just taking folic acid daily I'm also trying to go on a daily walk for exercise and eat more fruits and veg so 🤞🤞 thanks for your advice

I had four! One after another each month we tried. The fifth month I took the aspirin from ovulation and dd was sticky. Not sure if the aspirin made the difference or it was just luck

150mg is now the recommended dose of aspirin hun, there is new research and after many losses it's helped me and I'm now 33 weeks. I'd also reeeally recommend a book called 'it starts with the egg' it makes a lot of sense and there's lots of recommendations for supplements depending on your circumstances. Have you had your vitamin d levels checked? Taking a supplement is normally recommended for everyone in this country and it really helps our egg quality. I also took pre conception vitamins and cut out BPA completely which I'm convinced made a difference. Wishing you lots of luck on your journey and so sorry to hear about this month, keep super positive and look at all the things you could do to help, I found just feeling like I was a little in control of my health made me feel better and more relaxed mentally 🤞🌈

Hi hun, sorry to hear about these chemical pregnancies - very tough. How are your cycles? Do you have a short luteal phase (number of days from ov - AF?) sometimes this early drop in progesterone which causes AF to arrive can stop things sticking? If so you need to focus on increasing the length of this part of the cycle. it should be 12 days plus. I'm on 6-9 at the mo, taking B6 this month and trying to reduce stress (HA!) to increase my cycle - so for once I'm not fussed about a BFP, just a few more days before AF arrives.

Also were you on the contraceptive pill before TTC? If so how long since stopping?

@Sammy1012 short LP is the exact thing that causes mine. I've had my bloods done and my progesterone is so low. Unfortunately on cycle 9 now and even after all the vitamins nothing has changed :( I have to wait another 3 months for more fertility tests and then the GP said they will probably prescribe progesterone pessaries and maybe even clomid

I haven't been to the doctors yet we talked about it and said if it happens a third time maybe I should but with the current situation I don't want to be a burden.

My cycles are pretty regular usually a 30 day cycle I've been tracking on an app called clue which seems to get my ovulation dates right.

I was on the pill for about 15 years I stopped taking it in september but everything went back to normal pretty quickly.

What's BPA?

Trying to stay positive is tough but I'm trying. My other half is so calm and relaxed just says it will happen when it happens he's always been the same so laid back he's nearly flat 😂.

I can only tell you what I did. I took it from ovulation up to a few weeks before the birth. I took 75 mg daily

Just an up date for every one I spoke to the doctor today she doesn't seem to worried. Sending me for a blood test Friday other than that we can keep going as normal for now. It's put my mind at rest a bit 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Just wanted to say I had one chemical followed by 3 early losses (between 6 and 8 weeks) before I had a successful pregnancy with my little girl. It was a very hard time but she was worth it in the end.

@Positevibes we've been on previous thread together. I'm sorry you've had another chemical pregnancy. I've had the two myself. I feel cheered up by the responses on this thread, so hopefully you do too
