Looking for any other ladies with long or irregular cycles to share my frustration. Been TTC for just under a year and a half and my cycles are always all over the place, longest was 84 days, shortest was 28 with the average around 32. Currently on day 44 and so bored of always waiting for AF so I can just move on and start another cycle. So frustrated with never knowing what my body's doing 🙃

Hi! I have long cycles too, anywhere from 35-60 days. Have been TTC for almost six months now. I understand your frustration, it would be so much easier I my cycles were more regular so I could have a better idea of when I'm expected to ovulate. You're not alone!!

I was like this after coming off the pill before TTC. (We wanted hormones out of my body so I stopped HBC 6 months before TTC) and it was awful. I was recommended Agnus castus which is a herbal fertility booster that evens out your hormones and with that I managed to get two cycles between 32-40 days. Maybe that's worth looking at?

@curlyhairdiva it's so annoying isnt it? No idea when to expect anything or when to test. I used OPKS last month and got a peak but didn't this month as I ran out and so far zero symptoms and just a long old wait.
@nocallerid I've been taking that for 6 months and I thought it was helping as they did level out down to 32ish days but this cycle seems to have got me stumped...

Oh no, that's deflating. Have you upped your dose to see is that helps?

That's the plan! Literally have some coming in the post today! 😂 I just want this cycle to be done so I can start the next one fresh

Hi! Just joined Mumsnet to get some advice and support from others on this exact topic. Came off the pill 10 months ago and have had 2 AF since then. Feels hopeless with ovulation tests since the windows are so long.

runnerttc · 14/04/2020 13:24

Oh wow that's a long time between just two! Have you tried Angus Catus? Although mine seems to have stopped working it did help initially.

@runnerttc No I haven't? Can I get it at Boots?

runnerttc · 14/04/2020 19:33

I'm not sure, I always get mine on Amazon 😊

Hi guys, I've been ttc for 7 months, had implant in for 12 years . My cycles are sort of irregular but long, weirdly alternating between 33-35 one cycle and 43-44 the next. Just started tracking basal body temp and cervical fluid ( taking temp with ear thermometer which now i realise is not the best apparently!) but a shift worker (nurse) so its tricky and I'm so tired I don't wake up same time on days off as can't get back to sleep.
I also have ME and in the tww and have had worse digestive issues than usual (indigestion, slow gut transit and feeling generally yukky), on and off mild nausea but not sure if it's related to stupid shift pattern as done 48 hours in 7 days 12 hour shifts (contracted for 30 a week!). Finding it hard not to symptom spot but it's hard!

finding it really hard to work out when's best time as can't keep up min twice a week doing the deed around 12 hour shifts for almost a month on the off chance my cycle is a 28 day up to 44.

What's everyone else's experience with long cycles/irregular cycles?
x
