Ovulation when AF is due?

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help/relate 🙈

DH and I have been trying for 9 months now and EVERY month I try not get my hopes up but here I am again 🙈

Throughout last night I felt pain in my ovaries as if I was ovulating which as weird as I was due AF the day before however I have such irregular periods that I never know if I'm 'late'. I did an ovulation test this morning just to see if I wasn't going crazy and it was technically a negative however it was quite dark?

Has anyone else had this and ever found out the reason why? I've attached a photo but not sure it's come through.

I would think it was implantation or an early pregnancy sign so would recommend you take a hpt? If pregnant OPKs would be showing it too.

@Juno231 thank you for replying. I had read online it's an early sign but I wanted to see if anyone else had had this and it not be a pregnancy sign. I don't want to get my hopes up again 😢 I'll order a HPT. Thank you xx
