Trying to conceive a girl already mother of 2 boys

Hi im trying to conceive my 3rd and final baby (im 40) im hoping to have a girl, but my husband is 1 of 5 boys so im not holding my breath. I have been tracking my cycle with clearblue ovulation test sticks and also these cheap ones on amazon so i know when we did the dead 4 days before ovulation i should technically be having a girl if i fall pregnant. Tbh though i have serious doubts about the shettles thingy! Anyway just wondering here if anyone like me tracked theyre ovulation and wanted a girl! Did they have sex few days prior to ovulation day or bang on ovulation day?

Oh and all dps brothers have multiple boys.

DTD day of ovulation for third pregnancy, had a girl after two boys and DTD days prior to ovulation. But she's the first girl in my DH's family for 53 years. I really don't think it's as easy to predict as you'd like. I do know several others who had a girl as a third or fourth child. I was fully expecting a boy for my third and was extremely surprised.

DH is one of five. Two boys and three girls. I’m expecting DD2.

My DDad was one of four. One boy and three girls. Had two daughters.

DFIL was one of four. One boy and three girls. Had two boys and three girls.

It seems very much like our families are genetically more likely to have girls. If DH and I have any more after this one or DH’s brother has any children, it’ll be interesting to see if that continues to be the case.

Good luck op, glad you would be just as happy for a boy and you never know you could end up with a suprise girl. As you say though as long as babys healthy thats all that matters :)

I agree with previous posters about genetics. My family is a girl and a boy, dh is a boy and a girl.

We have a boy and a girl. It's like copy repeat.

3 boys here and pregnant with what I expect will be boy 4. I'm not even considering it might be a girl tbh, even though chances are 50/50 each time. I'll find out in a few weeks though. Thinking we can control gender is nonsense, people who try 'methods' and achieve their desired gender were coincidences.
