Advice please

Period is 6 days late so did an OPK as didn’t have any HPTs to hand. The + showed pretty quickly. Could this mean I’m pregnant or is my body playing tricks?

It is possible that you could be pregnant. OPKs detect LH (the hormone which tells your body to release an egg) however they sometimes mistake HCG (pregnancy hormone) for LH due to a similar chemical makeup.

I have seen cases where people have had a positive OPK and it has indeed been a pregnancy but likewise you may just be ovulating or have a surge.

For these reasons, OPKs are not a reliable way to detect pregnancy and the only way you will know for sure is by taking a pregnancy test.

This is mine OP. Top is the strongest OPK I've ever seen, it took dye from the control line. 👍

I’ve done another OPK which was strong+ again but a clear blue digi which was negative. Perhaps I should try again with FMU tomorrow?

CB digi isn't as sensitive as other pregnancy tests. I would wait a couple of days and test again on a normal test.

I couldn’t get to Superdrug so just did a Clearblue dye test. Was BFN
