Line eyes (just for fun)

My cat died yesterday so to cheer myself up (I'm mildly addicted to peeing on internet cheapies) I peed on a stick.

AF is due in three days so wasn't expecting anything.

Have had 5 pregnancies (4mcs and one dc) and have been getting slight symptoms. But you can convince yourself of anything tbh.

Thought might be useful to record this, with the result, for other people scrutinising squinters.

Hmmm, I can see it but pic is slightly blurry when I zoom in, is there any colour to the line? It does look a bit too obvious to be an evap, but with the cheapies you never know! Are you able to get a frer? X

dublino · 12/04/2020 09:46

Firstly I'm very sorry to hear about your kitty Sad

I can defo see something on that test. Fingers crossed for you

BuffaloCauliflower · 12/04/2020 09:48

Sorry about your cat Sad

I can see something yes, and those tests aren’t super sensitive

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 13/04/2020 07:26

Thank you all. Dh refuses to play this game (although it's my favourite part of ttc) and refuses to look at my peesticks saying "it doesn't count", which is technically correct but he acts like I'm going to show up at the hospital in 9 months time, holding my squinter, and demand a baby.

I got another 'possible' today but going to hold out until AF to buy a FRER because I'm embarrassed to say I already used two a few days ago despite never getting a positive six days before my missed period ever.

OP posts:
TKAAHUARTG · 13/04/2020 07:30

I’m with your DH I’m afraid. What is the point? Wait until your period is due and then you don’t have to do this to yourself.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 13/04/2020 07:34

Poor cat! Poor you! Flowers

That looks like it may well be positive.
Good luck!

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 13/04/2020 07:35

(Can we see today's one)

maria2bela · 13/04/2020 08:11

My favourite part too! I love a squinted that's I have to interpret 😂 My dh is the same, if it's not a blazing line he's not interested

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/04/2020 08:29

Sorry about the kitty x

I can see the line.... 🤞🏽

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 13/04/2020 08:37

It won't let me tag you automatically tkh and I've given up trying to correctly spell your username 😂

DH isn't against early testing- he just can't be bothered to look. Even when I get blazing obvious lines he says he doesn't count until a doctor has verified. He finds it boring and is very logically minded so can't deal with shrodinger-esque situations.

I test early for loads of reasons tbh.

  1. I like doing it. I also love looking at others people's sticks and really enjoy this forum for that reason.
  1. I'm so bored in lockdown that enjoy the drama of gamifying mundane aspect of my life. I also put small bets on raindrops sliding down windowpanes.
  1. My normally clockwork period was one week (and four pee sticks) late last month so not actually sure where I am on my cycle right now. Either five days later or two days before AF.
  1. I've been referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic so it's useful to see if I'm getting chemicals that end just before AF comes.
  1. I've been told to take aspirin as soon as I get a BFP, but not before in case that stops implantation.
  1. I used to be teetotal so it didn't matter so much when I knew, but after a horrible year, am back on the wine but ultra paranoid because I lost 4 pregnancies (5 if you count chemicals) even when doing EVERYTHING 'right'. Would be easier if I stopped drinking wine but I'm in captivity with a toddler and it's Easter. It's also helpful to mentally split months into 'no hope' months and 'some hope' months. I'm also ultra impatient and bought a pack of 200 internet cheapies so that I can freely wee on things.
  1. I just really like weeing on things.

Oh, and my other cat has started bringing me live mice. Which he only does when I'm pregnant. So wanted to test my theory.

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 13/04/2020 08:40

Dontbite - I unthinkingly threw it in the bin and it was corrupted with bin juice. It wasn't any more obvious than yesterday's unfortunately. Could just be dodgy tests.

I did have a lot of symptoms - including my breastfed toddler telling me my milk 'tastes yucky' - which is another sign, but they've all gone today. So this is another 'no hope' month I think.

I wish I'd photographed it as I find these threads really useful when other people do it. Sorry!

I like this part if ttc too and i do see a squinter x

cookielove · 13/04/2020 09:10

I love your list.

I too am a poas addict, i have lost several pregnancies and still feel/felt the need to test early.

Also the gp put me on asprin 3 days after my bfp for my current pregnancy and we happened to have an appointment at a recurrent miscarriage clinic when i was 7 weeks pregnant where they put me on progesterone, whether it did anything or not i don't know but here i am 34 weeks pregnant.

So i have everything x for you!!

This is my squinter from my current pregnancy! Top is opk then hcg x2

cookielove · 13/04/2020 09:12

Not sure you can see it in any of these tests but i saw it

ceebee21 · 13/04/2020 09:47

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings hi, thought I would say I can also see a faint line on that test.

Also wanted to know who has advised you re the aspirin? I've seen it recommended on so many threads.

I have also been referred to the fertility clinic, although not sure if the recurrent miscarriage clinic even though I have had 1 mmc and 2 chemicals...due a telephone conversation in May x

LittleMissSunshine2020 · 13/04/2020 13:35

Hi. I can see the line - congratulations Star
When I was TTC I was advised to take 75mg aspirin daily. I’m now 8 weeks pregnant and have been told to increase it to 150mg from today.
I have Factor V Leiden which is why that was advised - I think a lot of people have it but don’t know unless they get tested.

Trying2b · 13/04/2020 22:15

Your list cheered me up, particularly number 7! Peeing on sticks is also my favourite (and also most depressing) past-time! I do it so often I have a special wee cup in the bathroom for this exact reason. Baby dust to you xx

calimommy · 14/04/2020 03:02

OP a fellow POAS addict here. I think I can see a line in that first test.
I also love your reasons to test. Would you believe that I have peed on a few OPKs since becoming pregnant this time just to test my curiosity about whether or not they will be positive for HCG as well as LH. (Blazingly positive as it turns out, takes all the dye from the test line).
I started testing at 9DPO (and amazingly got a faint line) so obviously I tested regularly waiting for the line to darken. Also which ever way this pregnancy goes it will be my last, so I'm happily using up the tests I have 🙈😂 test away! I love squinting at lines.

maria2bela · 14/04/2020 07:33

Have you taken anymore OP?

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 14/04/2020 08:40

@ceebee21 - I was told that aspirin thins the blood and makes it easier for nutrients to get to the embryo. Both doctors and midwives have said that they don't know why it works, have no studies to back it up, but it does work.

Sadly for me, all it seems to do is stop early miscarriage and instead give me MMCs that end around 10weeks.

I've got zero symptoms now (went from sore boobs and sandpapered nipples to nothing) and got a very blank test today. AF due tomorrow but 90% sure there's no baby this month.

Tbh I'm pretty chilled out (apart from all my stick weeing) about this because I'm in lockdown with a toddler who never sleeps, working full time, inches away from punching DH and probably don't need to overly complicate things 😂

I took another test to doubley make sure - but failed to notice until after I dipped it that someone (in the factory, I presume) has helpfully drawn not one but TWO bfps on it with biro.

I am taking this to mean I'm pregnant with twins and will be showing up to the hospital to collect my babies on Christmas Day
