Late period but bfn

Hi all! Just looking for some reassurance as I'm so impatient!

So ttc and my period is 5 days late, I'm usually regularly give or take a day so I'm so hopeful but I've taken two test and both came back with a bfn! Ive felt nauseous on and off the last few days and my lower back aches but that's it - and I'm worried it's just in my head! I don't suppose I could hear some uplifting stories from people that had a similar situation to mine that then found out they're pregnant? I'm dreading going to the toilet just in case I find af!

When I first found out I was pregnant first was my breasts started to really hurt but my period was due in 2 days so I put it down to that but then it ended up 5 days late so I decided to take a test and it came up with a very faint positive and the next day I started bleeding but after the bleeding stopped I decided to take another just to check and this was another faint positive, week later I took another and it just got darker so fingers crossed for you 🤞

I would say wait a week or so and take another test i know how frustrating it is to wait but from my experience that’s the best way to know for sure 😊

With DC1 I had absolutely no period symptoms which was a bit strange because I normally got really bad PMS so I took a early test 1 days before I was due, that was a BFN and I was just waiting for it to start and I felt a bit down then it still hadn't arrived and took a test 6 days after and got a BFP and from my original due date and scan due date I had a 6 day ago so you could have ovulated late. I was 7 days late before i got a faint positive on a FRER - then they got darker and darker. And my cycle is very regular so I was very confused by that point. So it does happen

I'm in the same boat, currently three days late, test gave me a bfn on first day now I'm just trying to wait a bit (which is hard as I just want to test test test!!) someone on here told me that after IVF they say to wait at least two weeks after implantation for hormones levels to be high enough. So if you've had a late implantation than the levels just might not be high enough yet.

Af arrived this morning, so no luck for me this month I'm afraid! Thank you everyone for your kind words though. I just hate having to tell my oh after getting his hopes up!
