Ovulation test as pregnancy test?

Sure I've seen a thread where someone had used an ovulation test as a pregnancy test. I'm 9ish days post ovulation and had some spare ovulation tests so thought I'd give it a try. I got this.

Your not far enough in your cycle for it to mean anything.

I was very much pregnant and only got so so line on an opk, although I know others who have had blazing positives. Anyhow wait a few days and test again.

Thank you @cookielove. The line is actually much darker than the photo but just wondered if they actually work. AF is due in 3/4 days so I'll get some proper tests x

From what I gather it's a pretty imperfect method as you get some lh fluctuations throughout the cycle anyway. Not to mention at 9DPO you have barely had implantation yet!

I used an OPK out of sheer curiosity when I was around 5 weeks and knew I was pregnant and didn't get the blazing positive some people do, just a faint-ish second line x

Are those the clear blue ones? If so, the lines mean nothing!! Don't ever go off the lines on the digital tests, they are digital for a reason. When I get peak on clear blue I do not get 2 lines on the test as you would a standard OPK. You are probably too early to even get a positive pregnancy test yet...

Thanks @bluebell94. I did one about this time last month and just had the one line so I'm feeling hopeful for this month. I'm 41 and only been on cycle 3 TTC so I'm not counting my chickens just yet

Thanks @beau20. I do get 2 lines on them when I'm ovulating , I always check them but perhaps I should ignore them in future. AF due Monday so I'll pop out and get a test when I go food shopping x

@Annna41 they clear blue ones nearly always have 2 lines even when you aren't ovulating. The lines just aren't meant to be read the same as a standard OPK :)

Had a line a little darker than that line on my OPK yesterday afternoon ... got my period last night ! So (anecdotally) I don’t think it means anything.
