TTC during lockdown

I’m new so apologies if this has been talked about before!

Everyone knows the TWW is torture, but doing it during lockdown is extra weird:

1. If it works, everyone will make jokes about the baby being a coronavirus baby forever and ignore the painful journey of months or years it took to get there and how hard you’d be trying

1. Most of the usual distractions to get through it aren’t available!

If you want a baby no one can stop you trying.
Just be prepared for very limited face to face appointment and scans till things are back to how they were.

I hear you @Beagberan. We've been ttc for 3 years in June with a few fertility issues on my part... I have to take medication to bring on a period before I take my fertility medication which I did before all this started and today iv just got my peak on clear blue ovulation test. My next appointment with infertility clinic was meant to be end of April but has now been cancelled and rebooked for mid july so I have to go ahead with this cycle else I won't get another chance to try again until August! It does suck and I do now question that if I had known that the UK would be in this situation would I have still gone ahead with this cycle? But it is what it is and we can't waste this opportunity. Guess I'll be in the TWW club in a few days.
At the end of the day if you've seen enough bfn tests and you really wanna be a muma then just go for it. Everyone has a back story and no one understands the longing or struggle to get pregnant unless they have been there themselves, "covid baby" or not. Our babies will be loved just as much if not more then a baby born before all this. What will be will be and life goes on beyond covid.

Absolutely! We had been ttc for almost 2 years and happily I got a bfp yesterday. I was over the moon yesterday, literally on cloud 9. This morning I woke up worrying about people judging me/us and making jokes without knowing the history. My OH has told me to hell with everyone else and we know the truth.

I am a bit nervous about how the appointments will go but actually more worried about other people’s opinions which I have to get out my head because it’s none of my business what other people think of my decisions!

How have doctors or midwives responded to you telling them you're pregnant at times like these? I'm curious what their reaction is. I, too, am TTC this summer. Thanks.
