Have I missed the boat... Again?

Hi everyone I have been ttc for 11 months. Last month I dtd the night I got a positive opk. Now in this cycle I have dtd the last day after I got ewcm (so I got ewcm last night but did not dtd) today I have no ewcm but plan on dtd tonight. Would tonight be OK or would I have missed the boat as my ewcm has dried up?

Sounds like you may have... You're your most fertile in the five days before ovulation though so as DTD more often and don't leave it until ovulation? The sperm needs to be there to meet the egg after all!

If you're serious about TTC you need to be having sex far more regularly. I have an 11 month old DS and we have just started TTC #2 this month and we have DTD every day in the 4 days leading up to when I think I am ovulating, and 3 days after. I have fairly regular periods (28-30 days) so can't pin point exactly when I'm ovulating so just DTD as regularly as possible. You need to be doing it more regularly if you're not sure exactly when you're ovulating xxx

How much are you actually having sex? If you’re just aiming for once when you get an LH surge you’re probably going to struggle

Thank you for your replies. I should have mentioned that I had dtd on Monday, Sunday and Saturday (the days I saw ewcm) but last night my OH had had enough! So I'm hoping perhaps the deed from Monday night might catch the egg if i have ovulated today

If you DTD over the weekend and Monday yes you might have caught this one. Have you had a positive OPK?

HopefulHarry · 08/04/2020 20:56

I have stopped keeping track of my ovulation using an ovulation kit as I found to stressful and my OH felt under pressure when I would get a positive opk
