A bit lost in my cycle TTC

Hi ladies,

I’m new to Mumsnet and as a midwife I feel like I should know a bit better but I’m completely lost in my cycle!

I had the copper coil removed at the beginning of March and started the combined pill for all of 2.5 weeks and then stopped. My partner works in Iraq doing security work and we got the great news that he’s now based in the UK permanently so decided to TTC (covid - 19 hadn’t hit the UK yet). It’s been 4 weeks since I stopped the pill and I’ve had no other bleeding that the first withdrawal bleed when I stopped. I’m not sure when to start tracking ovulation or when I would do a pregnancy test as we are dtd most days? I know that’s very wishful thinking but I know it’s possible I could have ovulated already. Should I just start from today with the ovulation sticks or wait until I’ve had my first AF?

Sorry I’m sure this is probably a silly thread to start but I’d really appreciate any guidance as I don’t want to waste lots of ovulation sticks if I’m weeks away but know I should maybe just wait for AF to arrive?

Any help would be wonderful - thank you! X
