TTC after IUD removal

Hi ladies/mummies I'm after some advice, I had my Mirena coil removed last Tuesday as my partner and I are TTC, I know it's only been out for a week but I haven't had any spotting or bleeding yet, I had very light pink discharge the day before yesterday but that's about it, those of you who have had the coil removed how long did it take before you had your first period? And how long did it take you to conceive after having it removed? I'm desperate to get pregnant! Grin Thankyou in advance!

Hi @Mimps101 I'm currently TTC after having my coil out!

I had it out on the 6th of March. I've not had a period (had some very light bleeding when I wiped for an afternoon on the 18th of March) I'm going crazy as I'm still getting BFN's but also no sign of my period...

I'm desperate to get pregnant as well (getting married end of next year, so want to baby early enough that I can loose the baby weight lol)

Arrr yay! It's nice to find someone in the same situation as myself, gosh that's a long time to have had it out and not had a period...I wonder if spotting counts as such? I did an ovulation test on Saturday and had a distinctive dark line but didn't know weather to believe you could ovulate so soon after iud removal 🤷🏼‍♀️

Aw yay - that sounds like good news! I'm just starting to test for ovulation, as I want to make sure I'm ovulating if I'm not pregnant! Just wish I'd either get a BFP or a period now, so I know where I stand! Not having either is frustrating!

And from what I understand, when you have the coil in, you still ovulate (it just can't implant), so depending on where you were in your cycle when you had it out, it's totally possible :)

Hi @BatmanBaby just to update you I still haven't had AF 😔 sorry if it's tmi but I had some slight spotting after sex the other day and I'm worried that's not normal, have you experienced anything similar?
