TTC - Faint Lines... possibly?

Hello! I am new to Mumsnet, I’ve been more of a silent reader in previous years but am keen to start contributing.

I wanted to start off by saying I hope you, family and friends are all keeping well and safe in this strange time!

Me and my partner have been TTC for 9 months now and this is the first month I have “felt” a little more confident in the whole process. I think I have been tracking ovulation dates accurately for the majority of that time but the first two I didn’t really have a clue!

AF was due on Monday but hasn’t yet arrived (although, I do feel like I’m about too as I’ve had my monthly break out, moods all over the place and boobs are sore) so yesterday, I took (!!!!!) 3 tests. 2 were HCG test strips, the pink ones and the first had a faint line, the second one also had one albeit it slightly fainter (I took one at 12pm, one at 2pm)

Trying not to get my hopes up, I waited til I finished work and got a CB Digital one, this came back as Not Positive :(

There’s another line in the HCG test this morning, still not as dark as the control line. Has anyone else had this experience? I’ve read a lot about blue dye tests on here but it’s possible I’m just not ready to take a negative as an answer this month!

Anyway, thank you for your time. I really appreciate it. Take care x

Hello Smile 2 lines on a pregnancy test is a positive, no matter how faint the second one is! The clear blue digital tests are not very sensitive so don't tend to show a positive result as early as others. If you can get a first response early result test they are the most sensitive and you'll know for sure but it certainly sounds like early positive tests you're getting! Try again with your first urine tomorrow morning. Good luck x

@bluebell94 thank you for responding! That's very reassuring, it so easy to get bogged down on CB saying it's 99% accurate from day one but as you said, I probably should have taken it first thing, not in the evening.

I will try again tomorrow, thanks again and take care! Smile x

@Imstillskanking I did try to load one, but I think because I'm new I can't until tomorrow... I will load the progression ones then, you may need to bring your best line eyes for the first few haha!! X
