hello everyone,

myself and my partner have been trying to conceive since december last year. my period was late by 9 days last month and this month it is 6 day’s late my boobs are quite sore and i have been having lower abdominal pains abit like a period but not as bad.. i done a one step HCG test this morning with my first pee and i got two lines, i’m not sure how accurate they are. i would love some advice please x

I use those tests and I'm now 21 weeks pregnant. I think a massive congratulations is in order

It can be one day nothing and the next a blazing positive. I'd be wary of clear blue as they have a very high threshold for a positive so I'd do it tomorrow morning when your born new will be at their highest so you don't get a false negative (false positives are very rare)

yeah i completely agree! do you recommend any other cheaper tests which i could take before taking the clear blue one? thank you so much for your advice i really appreciate it

I highly rate first response early result tests. They have never steered me wrong in the past plus they are very sensitive (possibly most sensitive on the market)

FRERs are your friend. That’s what you want. Clearblue are the least sensitive of all the tests, especially the digital ones, they’re really not the ones to rely on. I believe the Digital’s are even less sensitive than the One Steps
