AVA bracelet, yay or nay?!

Hi ladies,

TTC#1 and currently recovering from a mmc, I had baby fever before I got pregnant but now the desire to become a mum is just something else...

I’m thinking of caving and getting an Ava bracelet. Can anyone share their impressions/experiences with one? I suppose following my mmc I know I CAN get pg (staying pregnant seems to be my issue) so if the bracelet can accurately predict ovulation, for me I think it might be money well spent! Anyone?

@DNAshelicase Hiya. I have one and find it very useful and reliable. Takes a few cycles to learn your cycle but I find it pretty accurate. The temping always seems to be pretty accurate too. I charge mine every day but the battery does hold two nights worth of charge. It’s very convenient but comes with a hefty price tag. Hope this helps X

I haven't got experience of using the Ava bracelet, but I opted for the OvuSense monitor that works the same way by monitoring your temperature as you're sleeping. All I can say is that after months and months of logging and tracking my cycles without success, I got pregnant on cycle 2 of using it! (I should have gone for the 3 month subscription rather than the 12 month....!!)

That’s very helpful thank you! I went for it in the end so fingers crossed! I think it will take a while for me as I haven’t had a period yet since my mmc so I think my initial predictions could be off. Last time I was using opks which were good but I could never quite pinpoint ov day so felt I sometimes ‘wasted’ the days leading up to it!

Congrats @pinknsparkly! I hope all goes well for you! The cost is mega but I honestly don’t think I’ll care if I get my BFP!

BTW if anyone is lurking on the thread that hasn’t got one I searched for a discount code and ‘AVAOFFER’ gets £20 off!

I was just coming on to say don’t bother. I used it for 6 months and nothing. The month after I stopped using it, I got my BFP. I’m now 16 weeks pregnant.

@being Ah okay, fair enough! When you scrapped the bracelet did you switch to another method, or just dtd regularly?

Congrats though!!

I used ovulation sticks and SMEP.

Thank you.
