Help... am I pregnant?

Hi all, I had a mc 6th March. 18th March my hcg level was 17 and I was discharged from early preg unit.

I’ve been getting faint bfps but I’m not sure whether they’re real or leftover from mc? I will be ringing early preg unit tomorrow incase it’s leftover but would appreciate anyone’s opinion. I’m really anxious .

Sorry about your mc OP.
It’s normal for hcg to remain in the body afterwards. I got faint lines on hpt for a while too.
If your level were at 19 i wouldn’t be worried... unless you suddenly got a strong bfp - but that would probably mean you are pregnant again!
EPU won’t do much at this stage...

Thanks for replying @sunnysideup2020 . I would have thought a hcg of 17 over two weeks ago would either have gone completely now and this would (hopefully) be a new preg OR if it’s leftover does it stay in the body this long from being so low? Time will tell but it’s a long wait lol xx

Hi, sorry about your MC. Can I ask how far along you were?
I had a mc at 6 weeks in feb and the epu did a hpt and it was negative straight away and blood test was 24.8 so that’s why hpt was negative as most tests detect 25 and over?
I found out I was pregnant again 5 weeks later so it could well be a new pregnancy.
I really don’t have any advice though other than to wait a couple of days and test again? I would have thought hcg level of 17 would have gone pretty quickly but I guess everyone is different.

Did you have any negative tests after the MC? After one MC I had negatives within a week but after another I was still getting positive tests 5-6 weeks later.

I had bloodwork done checking my hcg and was discharged from early preg unit when levels went low enough to be negative. I rang to double check that. My tests are progressively getting darker too. Fingers crossed xxx
