Currently ttc baby #2 never had to try with first baby was a pleasant unplanned surprise but now I'm trying it seems to be taking forever.
I'm currently using the flo app but not sure it's reliable enough with my ovulation days can anyone recommend any other to use as well or any advice/old wife tales when trying for a baby?

I’m using the Ovia app and cheap OPKs from Amazon, and so far been fairly impressed. I would definitely recommend buying some OPKs to work out when you are getting an LH surge/potentially ovulating and see if it matches up to what the apps are telling you, as ultimately the apps are only able to estimate but won’t be able to tell you for definite 🙂

Thank you Ill try that one & I did have some but I think I got to obsessed with testing and I'm trying to show a little restraint by not buying anymore🙈

@GeeHO98 Ahh that’s fair enough! I buy a pack of 60 for £13 off amazon (the Ovaview brand), because otherwise I wouldn’t really know when I’m actually having a surge, so should last a while! I’ve also just ordered a BBT thermometer so I can try temping, but that’s purely because my body seems to be doing its own weird thing at the moment so I’m trying to get a grip on my ‘normal’ cycle at the moment! But completely understand what you mean about getting obsessed with testing! 🙈

If you don’t want to use OPKs/BBT then I would suggest paying close attention to your CM. It may be worth look at SMEP too to see if it’s something you would be interested in 🙂

Yes been keeping an eye on CM & I did get my first real positive Opk last month was kinda glad when I ran out of them gave me a break from obsessing. It's super frustrating knowing your ovulating then getting the bloody show after, I've only been ttc a few months and I'm getting fed up already i don't know how all you lady's keep doing it🙈& thank you I'll check that out now I'll give anything a try at this point

I think Premom is pretty good for logging bbt and taking images of opks.

I’ve got various apps that I use simultaneously! Femometer, Flo, Clue and Ovia. I really didn’t like PreMom, the layout wasn’t great.
I like femometer, it seems the most accurate for predicting ov and AF, also has the added feature of intelligent recognition for ov tests which is good.
Although I probably use Flo the most as it seems the most user friendly and I like the layout.
Clue and Ovia are just meh but I like using a few different ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

Get the clear blue ovulation sticks. My app was about three days off actual ovulation.

Nat4392 · 03/04/2020 21:04

*to clarify, I still use ovulation tests, I don’t rely on the apps completely. I use a mix of internet cheapies and clear blue. Mainly IC’s though as CB are so expensive

Natural Cycles worked really well for me. I used it for contraception first so it already knew my cycles, but I liked that there’s no guesswork, it tells you when you’re fertile, pinpoints your ovulation, no guesswork trying to read charts

Thank you I'll look into them allSmile
