Pre pregnancy vitamins?

Is it worth taking pre pregnancy vitamins?

I took Morrisons or Asdas own pregnancy vitamins (not pre pregnancy) about 3 months before conceived. DH took well man.

I took pregnacare conception for 2 months. Well and truly messed up my cycle. I know its vitamin based but that's the only thing it could have been.
