Trying to conceive and depression !! Help !!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all safe and well, I know it is an hard moment right now for all of us but I’m still planning to make a baby as this is my dream
Me and my lovely partner been trying for over a year to conceive , he suffers of delayed ejaculation (he can’t ejaculate during sexual intercourse but only through masturbation) , we tried to use home insemination kit also during the right days but I’m not getting pregnant , we have done most of the tests and everything seems fine with his sperm and with my womb, so for now we just wasted almost 1k to private clinic but nobody has been able to help us, I’m wondering how could I just get that sperm inside , now we are honestly thinking about iui or ivf eventually , but we really feel helpless and hopeless in this moment, of any of you has similar experience or some of you got pregnant through iui or home insemination kit it would be very helpful to know other stories

OP, I really wouldn’t recommend trying to get pregnant during a Corona virus pandemic. You would be increasing the risk to yourself - pregnancy lowers your immunity- and putting demand on the NHS at a time when it is perilously stretched.
Unless you are approaching the end of your fertile years and are desperate, leave this until next year.

This must be a really stressful time for you! I've heard lots of ladies say they have their partner ejaculate into a menstrual cup and then the women just put the cup inside as you would if you had your period. It helps to keep sperm up near the cervix and helps to make sure it doesn't all fall out. I've never tried but it couldn't hurt to try if you are desperate. Best of luck!

My partner is the same, although he can eventually but it takes ages and ages, to the point where I make him masturbate near me and then put it in quickly once he peaks! Then once he's sat inside I make myself ahem finish haha because "apparently" it makes your cervix open! Frankly right now I'll try anything x

so are you still trying ? Did you seek advices , as I said we just wasted money and time for now 😞

I’m not trying right now but I’m just seeking some advices or similar experience, of course this is not the right moment

@dodo09 yes I'm still trying. Yes I got my partners sperm checked and its fine, I had bloods and scan of ovaries all fine plus I have an 8 year old son so I know I can concieve but secondary infertility is a thing!
You could do IUI once this pandemic is over, why not try?

At least you already got a child , was it a natural pregnancy or ivf or iui?

@dodo09 yes I'm lucky I have a son, it was natural but it took 4 years!

My gp referred us so I just hope when the pandemic will be over I can get the iui or ivf
It’s very stressful and emotional time

We have tried with home insemination kit for over a year unsuccessfully , and as I mentioned before we didn’t get the help we need , just waste of money and time for now, so I’m starting to be depressed and hopeless
