Hello,
I've only been taking BBT and LH tests since Feb so still trying to understand how to read the data.
I am using Femometer app and attached is the photo of this month chart. The app thinks i am 4dpo, however based on my eggwhite CM and highest LH results (never got peak), i think i 2dpo...any thoughts please? Thank you!

It's not super clear - I would say potentially the 25th however keep temping to see

Beau20 · 27/03/2020 19:30

25th for sure

Beau20 · 27/03/2020 19:31

Sorry my post went too soon 🙈 as long as you get another temp rise tomorrow then 25th for sure

Moreinfopls · 27/03/2020 19:54

Thanks, that's very helpful ladies!

Same predicament as me right the same app. I'd have said the 25th too but it has worked it out that you have ovulated the day before your first rise above the cover line. I think it's just how the app works out the cover line.

@Mycrazylife85 I'd say yours was 23rd

Mycrazylife85 · 27/03/2020 21:24

@Beau20 thank you. I think so also (fingers crossed for me it was 🤣) it's funny that it's exactly the same scenario as me. I think it must be the app itself. I didn't even get to use the clueblue digital ovulation sticks I bought, this was a week earlier than usual for me 🤦🏻‍♀️

Moreinfopls · 27/03/2020 22:05

@Beau20 that's really interesting. Must be the algorithm!

I would say the 25th. I always had a big drop on the day I ovulated.

Good luck on your TTC journey. Enjoy it!!

I wish we had a whole forum devoted to discussing charts. I love them.

ToCaden · 27/03/2020 23:42

(And yes, 25th looks likely depending on what the next few days show.)

Moreinfopls · 28/03/2020 07:51

@ToCaden i find the charts fascinating too, but at the moment I've got more questions than answers. Happy to keep posting them :D

Three points above the cover line after a temp drop is usually when apps can confirm ov happened so from latest chart I'd say 25th for sure. You're doing a good job doing both opks and temp together. Opks protect you against drawing conclusions from temp (as this can go up or down depending on other factors such as fever or restless sleep), and as LH can rise before ov happens temp lets you be more specific.

I love looking at charts too. I literally scroll through them on google images. This is my first month temping and here’s mine if anyone wants a look. Waiting to see if my temp stays up tomorrow 😬 I get so excited to go to bed because when I wake up I get to take my temp and update my chart. Haha!

I find this app quite stubborn though. I put all my info in yesterday including photos of 3 high and 1 peak LH test and EWCM and it was STILL saying I ovulated 13th March! I literally had to put in that I ovulated yesterday for it to change!

In truth I don’t even know if I did ovulate yesterday but had mild cramping for a few hours. Would that be ovulation? Like an hour after seeing a peak on OPK?

Mycrazylife85 · 28/03/2020 17:47

I love a chart too @OrangeJ

I'm finding a bit of a pattern post ovulation but before.... heck- anything goes! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Moreinfopls · 31/03/2020 22:50

Any thoughts on why my bbt is decreasing so early?? My lutual phase last month was 13days. I am not 6dpo. Thanks

It is common for your temps to drop, but if you are pregnant I would expect them to go up again. As long as they are around 0.3-0.5 of a degree above your pre-OV temps/coverline you should be fine.

Mine do however start to drop around 7dpo. My temps peak around 7DPO which is when progesterone peaks and then slowly drop (as progesterone does) in the 2nd week of your LP. A sustained drop in temps from 7dpo usually means AF is on the way
