TTC and late period

Hi all
I have been ttc since last summer and had a miscarriage in November last year. Since that we have been trying again and my periods have returned to normal cycles (give or take a day or so). This months however I have not got my period and it is now four days late. I did an opk which gave a positive result 15 days ago and I have had cramps on and off come along with backache. Last tues and wed I had some brown spotting (for around two days) and since that nothing only cramps and back ache. I did a test yesterday and it is negative. Does anyone have advice for what could be going on? With coronaviris I don’t think I will be able to see a doctor now so am worried about what this all could mean.

Have you tested using a frer?

peachypetite No not yet I suppose I really need to do that. I was going to wait three day’s to test again. Have you used before and did you find them good? Im also having some cramps which feel like period is coming but have had these for around 10 days now.

They are more sensitive so I would try one of those for sure.

Im in the same boat! Im 4/5 days late but had a bfp hpt yesterday... Sore boobs (which could be pms) and feeling nauseous & insomnia (both could be covid stress) xxx

If your positive OPK was 15 days ago it is likely you are only 13Dpo. You may well not see a positive pregnancy test yet. Alternatively AF could be due any time.

I did a test at approx 20 DPO and only got a very faint line on an Asda test. I tested 3 days later and it was extremely strong. I would wait another 2 days and then test, or alternatively use a FRER

peachypetite, motherofdinosau and Beau20 thanks for all the suggestions. I’m glad to hear it’s not that uncommon but would obv love to have a positive result. Realistically I need to be prepared for af too. It’s the waiting I can’t deal with. Hope you all Get lost I’ve results soon!

Yeh I tested the day before my period with a cheap boots and it was negative. Left it a few days with a frer and it was crystal clear positive. Good luck.

Hiya just wondering if anyone can help I'm 5 days late for my Af wich I'm never this late I'm sometimes 1 day late/early. Ive done test wich they came back with BFN. I've got no signs of coming on so it's a bit strange for me. I'm not quite sure what I'm really asking but I would love to here any advice please. Thank you xx

Hi there @court98. I am/was in the same position as you and five days late which was very unusual. The only time it happened before was when I was pregnant last year(which sadly ended in miscarriage after nine weeks). However this morning I have just got af which was quite a surprise as I have had on/off cramping for more than ten days and felt not different this morning. In a way I am glad I got it so I can move on and plan ttc for next month. I do understand the frustration for you however as you are in limbo and have no clue what is happening. I don’t have much advice other than to wait it out for a few days and maybe if it hasn’t turned up try to take a test. Wishing you lots of luck!

Hiya thank you for the reply. No way sorry to here that. Aww was hoping to see you put you had a bfp sorry babe. I just find it weird that Ive never bin this late in normally about 1 day late or a day early. My nipples hurt n I feel sick. But I haven't got any cramps. I spoke to my mum and my sisters and asked them all if they had spotting but non of them had so I don't know if it's a family thing or not. It is frustrating when you don't know I'm soo impatient lol xxx

@court98 both of my pregnancies I had no spotting at all! My first pregnancy I had no idea I was pregnant, not a single symptom ever. Even up to 12 weeks. My 2nd pregnancy I bloated really bad and had all the typical AF type symptoms the same time af was due but I was pregnant
