Metformin experiences please

Hi everyone.
Fertility clinic started me on metformin last week to help aid insulin resistance and weight loss and regulate cycles due to pcos. I have increased my dose to 1000mg as advised and next week will increase it to the full dose of 1500mg next week.

I was wondering about peoples experiences and how quickly metformin helped them to conceive etc?

I started on metformin after 2.5 years of trying for a baby, I was on 850mg x 3 a day, I started it in the August, lost 2.5 stone fairly easily with the low GI diet and conceived in the November. I stayed on it for weight control and conceived my second fairly easily. It can play havoc with your stomach so just make sure you have it with meals and if it becomes too much ask for the slow release version. Good luck!
