Coming off mini pill...

Just looking for advice, really! Me and my partner have both decided that it’s best for me to come off of my Desogestrel pill and have no intentions of using any further contraception. I’ve been on it for around 6 months ish. The side effects were far too bad to continue, and we decided that we were not worried and would be quite happy with the aspect of having a baby. I’m just intrigued to know others experiences with coming off the pill and how long it took to ovulate/regulate again? I took my last pill on Saturday (14/03/20) and so far, despite it only being the second day, so far, so good! I still had periods on the pill, not regular...my last lot of three weeks bleeding finished last Wednesday.

Hi
I came off my mini pill on 1.11.19 had been on it for around 4 years and been on microgynon before that. Had no periods on the mini pill tho
Had a light bleed a week after for like 2 days and then first normal AF was on 27.11.19 then have had 1 every 23 to 25 days since 😊
I know some ppl have taken a while to have periods back to normal though and when I was looking for same answers as you I saw that some ppl took over 3 months to get back to normal or have got pregnant straight away and never got a period.

I'm still ttc and in cycle 4 my af due 26.3.20

I came off the same pill 27th March, withdrawal bleed 17th April and af arrived yesterday, Ovulated on 30th April or 2nd may (I’m new to using opks! 🤦🏼‍♀️) I thought I was due in a weeks time so early and only a 24 day cycle, have a horrible feeling I’m still regulating 😔 thought I was in the tww.

I should say, I was on it for 6 years.

I came off the mini pill in July, had my first period three weeks later. It can take up to six months for periods to regulate 😊
Also as I'd been on it for so long I had never experienced all the feelings that go along with ovulating so my warning would be that you can sometimes feel pregnant when coming off the pill even though you might not be. I had no idea I would have sore boobs, soft cramps and heartburn for the whole 'two week wait' every time I ovulated!

Ovulation has so much to answer for! I’m the same, seems to be every pregnancy symptom under the sun but it’s just ovulation 🤦🏼‍♀️.ive never had this before, we are ttc number 3, we have a 5 and 10 year old sons pregnant both times within the first month off the pill, maybe it’s where I’m getting old 😂 our wedding has been cancelled so we decided to go for number 3 now instead If after the wedding, I have a horrible feeling the new date will be here and we still won’t have number 3 Thanks to that pill 😔
